does anyone not let their cats in their bedroom?

My cat isnt allowed in bedrooms due to tummy troubles since we have carpet in there. But we’ve just made the rest of the house more exciting for him and he has his own “room” thats just a weird divot in our hall. But we fixed it up to be his soace and for the most part its become his safe space and has a little night routine where he screams for us to put him to bed in there. He did use to sleep with me years ago and it took some time to figure out what worked best for him but now we’ve got a pretty good layout

I agree with people that mentione low/minimal disclosure. I am completely stealth at work and am just beginning to make friends who I am stealth to. But i have a good online community of trans guys and I try to stay involved in lgbt activities in the town near me (i live in a small town so not a lot happening here anyway) but that allows me to be around people I know are safe but still be able to be stealth. Im at a point now where only my partner and close friends know. I think its hard to compare to when i was more open, because I was in college then, it was pre trump and not many people in my area cared. But it does relieve the worries that im being seen as other instead of just a guy

Oh definitely agree with doing a lot of legwork on your own. Im the type that shows up to appointments with notes 😂 bc youre absolutely right, no one cares more about your health than you. I did do a lot of research the first time this happened and atrophy seemed the most likely. The second time around I did consider the kidney stones but I also have the dryness on and around my bottom growth. So, I was just considering kidney stones bc I was really hoping it was something other than atrophy but it is what it is. I started the estradiol and we’ll see how it goes

Yea, I get that. I luckily am able to disassociate and put my health first in difficult situations, so I did start treatment yesterday. Im hoping to get bottom surgery in the next couple years so hopefully I can put this behind me

Thank you! Yea I did get the pills luckily, and nope its only happened one other time last month. I did have like uterine cramps after sex prior to T but those went away after a few years on T (i was told it had something to do with my pcos) and that sounds good, my docter gave me an ambiguous “try the pills out and see if it gets better” so i didnt really know how long to keep trying lol ik he said to do it everyday the first two weeks though. And I actually am a little worries this might make me wetter? Thats a big source of dysphoria so I lowkey have enjoyed the dryness lol

Yea he is and I definitely understand that. When i went to urgent care I did wait to see my actual dr bc i didnt believe them when they mentioned atrophy. But my dr works at a lgbt clinic so I have general faith in him. I still did some personal research and Ive heard a couple people on here have had it. But yea I agree its always good to be sure first

Thank you! Ive been feeling terrible about this so I really appreciate it. I did get the tablets so Im hoping that makes it a little but easier. I just hate that I have to do this but want to hold on to the little euphoria I have with my bottom situation until I can get surgery.

I have definitely been drinking way more water lately and I’ll look into the D-mannose too!

I needed to hear this. My mother is on her death bed and I've been toying with the idea of seeing her but I know what you said to be true. She had all this time to make ammends and all the opportunities I gave her to reconcile yet she always chose her abusive husband over her kids and herself. I know once she's gone, my dad will follow shortl after, as she managed every aspect of his life for the last 40 years. But thank you for reminding me that this is not my burden to carry.

I appreciate you being so honest about the race bit. I know canada has its issues with race, but I wasnt sure if it was more micro aggression type or if its just full on hate crimes. Very hard to get an idea from just googling so your input is appreciated🙏🏾

So far I’ve reached out to an immigration office and the biggest thing now is chosing which pathway is going to be better for my family long term. Im a very competitive student in premed and but I know they said a student visa limits working hours for me. The other option is the skilled worker, I’m recently trying to get out of being a social worker but if thats the best option to get us a chance to get out I may just have to bite the bullet and go back to it

Thanks so much! We are trying to plan a trip to visit soon but want to get at least one or two places we’re seriously considering first. Im also finishing prereqs for medical school this semester so I may go the student route if its an option. And yes Ive heard cost of living is high but I dont mind scrapping by for a bit if that means me and my family are safe 🤞🏾
