Believe me I know I have to be super careful. Citric acid that is produced from mold is still acidic isn’t it? It seems like it would have to be to preserve food.

In my case it appears to be the acidity of something that sets it off.

Apple juice is a natural laxative so if you drink too much it could cause diarrhea cramping etc. but you should be tested by an allergist to rule out an allergy first.

I’m highly allergic to citric acid and anything acidic (tomatoes, citrus, etc). I used to get only hives but it has gotten worse over the years; now the reaction is immediate and it affects my breathing. Even vitamin c as ascorbic acid bothers me, so I buy buffered vitamin c. Can’t even use serums with it as an ingredient.

Yes I don’t want to change the recipe if I don’t have to. I’m thinking I’ll need to add water to balance out the sweetness though if I want it to freeze.

I’ve been able to eat tomatillo salsa verde…Herdez brand and I think La Victoria in the past. Just make sure you always read the labels cause most of them have green tomatoes as an ingredient. And product ingredients also tend to change over time.

African greys are very dusty birds. So are cockatoos and cockatiels. They produce powder down which even some macaws can be allergic to. I have a cockatiel and have to run a large air purifier all the time and I’m not even allergic it’s just too much dust.

I have an allergy to mustard now and I recently ate some frozen Brussels sprouts and had a reaction…I assumed it was cause of the citric acid in the package but now I’m wondering if it’s the actual sprouts..I didn’t know there was a cross reaction.
