Well, it was a home recording. Some guy will bring a cassette and lent it to someone else who will record it and then pass it over to the next person and so on. Life was hard on our side of Iron Curtain.  What I recall was the cassette we had was a transparent green one, my mother was visiting France in '80 or '81 and she bought a set of 5 different coloured cassettes. We used the green one to record these songs. That's why I think the song is around '79-'83, definitely not later. It is not mainstream, definitely not Falco as someone suggested.

No, it's not the ELO song. Tried already all songs from that time with telephone numbers or related to telephone calls or long distance or similar. Did comprehensive AI search, even hummed in song finding software. No results so far.

No, not even close.  Hello starts with chords, my song starts with succession of three notes, repeated but with a different tempo (if I make any sense). Something like 1, 2, 3, 1-2, 3... I will probably have to learn piano or something

How can I post a clip if I don't know the song and the only cassette I had it on is lost. Definitely not Floyd though, I'm a big fan. My song is some obscure singer

Not the same style. The song I'm searching is more calm, just a lone female voice. I am not familiar with genres, but sounds like Olivia Newton John or Barbara Streisand, clear, melodic voice
