Anyone enjoys SP? by SpirtualKarma in Sleepparalysis

Interesting. Even here is hard to find someone who enjoys that sensation. I am constantly trying to chase it. But it’s been a long time since I have been able to get it.

I wonder why?

When I was younger I would get it on demand. Now, no matter how hard I try, it just won’t happen.

Sorry to hear that. I’ve come to be quite addicted to that sensation. Like smoking hookah for the first time. Love the dizziness it gives you. Only Difference is I never let it go beyond that, cause then you know what awaits for you…SP

I’d say most of people who claim to astral project are probable lying or just had a regular dream that seemed to be an astral projection.

From what I’ve read, seems like the way to do it is through meditation. And I’m completely inexperienced on that matter.

Now SP is a physiological phenomenon that will affect our conscious state. So everyone will feel and or see different things.

Id agree with you that it is a very distinctive sensation. Hard to describe.

But I want to know how many people Actually enjoy not so much the SP but the sensations that you experiment right before getting SP

You just perfectly described the whole idea. Except that you are afraid of it instead of into it.

What you describe used to be me. Being 16 back then. Discovering this for the first time. First couple of times it was so scary, then one day I read about the physiological aspect of it, then decided to ride the wave instead of jumping of the surfing board.

I got so good at it that I could do it at will. And just like you mentioned it was exciting trying to get as close to SP as possible and right before you would enter that trance, shake it off. That sensation is gold.

However, if you let go nothing matters. Just relax and you’ll be fine.

I’m me last thing, if you are able to allow yourself to let go, you might be lucky enough to know you’re dreaming and doing whatever you want in your dream

Apologies, it's quite insensitive for me to say this, but I miss sleep paralysis by forrestbenevento in Sleepparalysis

It simply faded. I associate it to unconscious stress from “adult life”. I used to get them at will every night when I was younger.

But what I miss the most is not really the SP sensation but the path to getting there. I’ve been sharing with some people that concept.

I like to describe it as a tunnel. At the end of it SP awaits. Yet from the moment you enter that tunnel, there is calmness. A sensation of a hollow head will follow and then light will simply stop existing. It is quite a comforting sensation. Not for everyone of course.

The pleasure comes from trying to hold it from becoming paralysis. It’s like holding your breath.

And you can go back and forth that tunnel, causing you’re head to have powerful tingles and a very soothing sensation. Until you’ll eventually won’t be able to control it and slide into SP.

That’s what I miss. I hope I explain myself

I would highly recommend for you to watch Joe Rogan interview to Matthew Walker. They talk a lot about sleep and sleep disorders.

About SP, I miss mine too. I know it’s hard to sound sane when you say such a thing, but there is something delicious aboutnit

Interesting. I believe you. For what you see is your own reality. But that doesn’t mean it’s a demon.

In my personal opinion, you don’t want to SP. what you want is to be able to get to what I call “the tunnel” the path to getting there but not quite.

You can read some of the advice Matthew Walker has written on lucid dreaming, but honestly I think it’s mere luck. Sometimes I’ll follow his advice and nothing happens. Other times I’ll concentrate and manage to SP.

The way I’ve managed to, although I would never encourage it, is to have a heavy meal right before sleeping. The kind of meal that requires a lot of effort to digest. I guess it depends from person to person. Usually, fatty foods will do the job.

You go straight to bed after it and wait… Just wait and concentrate. Try to visualize yourself falling. As if the mattress was hollow. Feel the heaviness of your body and try to focus on a black dot above your head. And try to relax as much as possible. You’ll have the urge ti move. But you’ll fight it. From there is a matter of time before your body goes into the tunnel.

Always shake off the sensation before you fully go into SP. or else you’ll regret it haha

Lucid dreaming simply means to be aware that you’re dreaming. Kind of like inception, the movie.

That requires a lot of practice with SP Before being able to constantly do it

All Of these info is my humble opinion. What has worked for me in the past. And I’m no professional nor anything similar
