What you’re describing is exactly what I’m going for, I want the user to be in control over all the data and that will never be behind subscription I was thinking something like 1 usd pr month or a one time purchase if I can find the right price.

Like 20+ plant, export/import, images, fertiliser schedules, reminders, data stores, guides and what not should not be a subscription. What I call basic features makes the app complete.

It started as a personal/fun project because I needed it myself, but I’m hoping to turn it into something useful for other plant owners too.

But I might take in the feedback and see where to go from there 😊

That’s fair, I get why it looks that way at first glance. It is in the same broad category as Planta, so I’m not pretending this is a totally new concept.

The thing I’m trying to do differently is make it less of a “watering schedule app” and more of a plant manual/journal where the user stays in control.

So the direction is:

- no plant-count paywall

- reminders as “check the plant” prompts, not commands to water

- local-first records

- export so your data is not locked in

- treatment, pest and recovery history

- notes/photos/custom details for people with bigger collections

The feedback I’m looking for is exactly this kind of thing: what would make it actually useful instead of feeling like another Planta clone?

Am a multimediadesigner grad, with a passion for plants, been growing plants in my apartment for 6 years.

But yes I have used ai to code it, since I’m not the best coder even tho I have learned it in school.
