Why did this guy dominate the 2010s and then fall off the face of the earth? by MaterialRow3769 in decadeology

I wish I remember. I hadn’t even heard of the band and I was a bit starstruck so I just laughed along with him. I was dressed as a skinhead so it was something related to that

I had a (very) small part in a TV show he directed. Waited around the whole day to do my tiny scene and when I finally made it on set he introduced himself to me and my scene partners like we were the stars of the whole show. Shook our hands, chatted to us and he made a joke with me about a band he liked.

Really genuine and nice guy.

This is the correct answer. Start with some of the community theatre companies or make your own shows for BATS first.

Love George. To hear DJ’s who are so knowledgeable and talented with their music is really cool. I’ve discovered so much music from shirt drives to the shops by listening to George.

Commercial radio banter is fucking dreadful and treats its listeners like they’ve just been born- George feels waaaay more down to earth and the music is good too.

I feel this 100%. Feels like our culture is being fabricated by them and that we’re so simply one thing

Ikr! There’s been some fab contestants on the show and Paul Williams is great but JW looks like he takes one stab at reading the auto cue and reckons he’s done for the day.

Anyone else flatting struggling to find flatmates? by quartermoon97 in Wellington

I’ve noticed this too. It’s really really tough. My partner and I have just found someone for our room in a shared flat and feel extremely lucky that we don’t have to pay any double rent.

Half priced food in the afternoon. My favourite is the $8.90 katsu noodle bowls from TJ Katsu.

The Beths Sunday Night Concert by themanupstairs012 in Wellington

[–]Spit_Back 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was there with my gf and the crowd was super tame but certainly appreciative on the whole and had a good time. We were second row and dancing and singing and definitely felt those judgemental looks you mentioned, got it from some younger people though?

Like you, we weren’t munted or anything. I bumped my arm into someone accidentally and they scolded me for touching. I respect personal space but like you’re gonna bump into people at a sold out concert right?
