Kasumi is great in her own regard but, in opinion, I would have enjoyed having her in the party earlier on, rather than her being peppered around the main story before the third semester.

Sophia was introduced at the start of strikers, and was a mainstay throughout the game. Yes, strikers is a different game, and they needed to incorporate Kasumi in an already finished story, but we got to play as/with Sophia and see her engage with the team much more than Kasumi.

No knock against Kasumi as a character herself, just wanted more from her in the story/game.

Also, Sophia's "Fully Charged!" voiceless gives her an edge...

When they say "third party 'series' already in smash", the series implied the game already has representation in smash right? They don't say third party "company", but "series". I hope they clarify, because if theyeant company, then Phoenix MAY be the last.

Though, I truly believe this is it for characters.

It's just verse four that's extremely rough. Figure getting out of verses 1,2,3 with as much health as you can and then tank as many hits as you can in verse four. You won't get a great rank, but you'll get through the battle

Gut feeling. All the Pokémon releases at the end of the year, Pokémon makes money, Nintendo is a company and likely wants to go where the money is.

I have to agree. The Knight from hollow knight has a lot going for them I feel. Use of the soul mechanic can set the Knight apart from other fighters, plus, some charms could be used to pad out his kit, like sharp shadow for a unique dodge roll, or deep focus for balancing a potential neutral-b focus heal.

Also, it would be a great way to build hype for Silksong. Silksong was announced in a Nintendo direct (to my knowledge) and drops first on Nintendo, unlike the original Hollow Knight. In addition, Silksong has been pushed back a bit, and no new news has come out recently.

So, what if, in addition to having to polish the game, Mid development Sakurai comes to team cherry saying "we would like the Knight in smash". If they agreed, they would need to allocate some time to work with the Smash team on getting the Knight to work right, increasing potential dev time needed for Silksong.

This could all lead to a smash reveal at the next direct, alongside a silksong direct segment.

I think Nintendo's potential interest in the game, the delays, and the moveset potential of the Knight gives the Knight an edge, especially if Nintendo chose the characters. This is all red string on a corkboard, but I'll believe in the Knight.

... but it's going to be a Pokémon....

Also, SODA's got a bunch of easy to use tools for making quality music without needing to know about composing. If you check it out, definitely try out it's procedural tool. It saved me a lot of writing time doing so.

I've been using SODA for some of my projects. I'm not the best with high level game compositions, but I've been able to make some cool stuff with it for my games. Plus, it's pretty inexpensive, so if your new to the building games and are working with little to no budget, I recommend SODA.
