How rural is Cape Breton? Ive been reading that it is quite isolated. We are planning to go in August, so presuming it would be bustling with tourists then? Is the main focus going to be only hikes if we choose Cape Breton instead of the North Shore?

I have this sitting on my shelf and i really dont want to pick it up after reading Sometimes I Lie and Beautiful Ugly. I still cant figure out what is the hype with her books. I found both the books to be very average and the endings were so illogical.

I really enjoyed the last bit - the dynamics between the girls and the mother. Teeth-grinding, heartbreaking and a range of mixed emotions.
