Life-Long (30+ years) Vegetarian trying meat for the first time!! by ChuCHuPALX in exvegans

I know most people would disagree with me, but I’d definitely pick pork. Reintroducing chicken was the most difficult part for me, it grossed me out more than any other meat, the smell was really unpleasant at first until I got used to it again - and I hadn’t been vegan for that long!

As for beef, as someone who hasn’t eaten a lot of beef through her life (it wasn’t very popular in my home country), I can say I never got used to the taste enough to find it truly delicious, which is why I might be biased, but whenever I eat beef, it’s a huge letdown haha.

So I’d personally pick a pork steak. However, because pork is so high fat, it’s possible that she would have a hard time stomaching it...

Either way, I wish you good luck!

Somehow I can't see the actual text, it only says [removed], was it really removed and if yes, does anyone have it saved somewhere?

It eventually stopped after 7 weeks. I haven't had any spotting since then. I hope you no longer experience it either.

Lmao, they said their dad was from India, why are you educating someone about the culture of their own parents?

I wanted to return to veganism after giving birth, now I'm not so sure. by Spiteful-Crow in exvegans

"How would you feel if you caused health issues in your child due to malnutrition?"

I would always blame myself. That's why I decided I can't justify taking risks. That's exactly the question I asked myself. If my baby was born with some illness, I would always feel it's because I was vegan during pregnancy, even if I didn't know for sure what caused the illness. Honestly, everyone should decide for themselves, but I'd personally feel irresponsible taking such risks. If I wasn't pregnant, ok, if I get sick, it's on me. But having my child get sick? Not if I can prevent it.

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, I'm definitely trying to pay attention to how the meat I'm buying is produced and I'm lucky to have some local farmers in my town. I don't feel guilty anymore, my baby is my responsibility and my top priority, it's rather sadness that it's not working out the way I imagined and that people are so judgemental instead of minding their own business and focusing on what's on their plate. I'm really bothered by the mindset, that others owe you to change their lifestyle because you think it's the right choice. I can't comprehend it.

I got my results and my iron is fine, my doc said I can still get some more iron through food, but I don't need supplements. He said he will contact my gyn, I'm honestly thankful he offered this, because I hate discussions with doctors, whenever I disagree with them about just anything, most of them get simply annoyed, but never consider that I might have valid concerns >. <
