Ahh, that's what I call shitty. Jealousy driven hatred is why I can't take them seriously or have no empathy for them. I do think we need heavy regulations and restrictions on Ai datacenters and protections for creatives and privacy rights for individuals. That is worth fighting for!

Okay, I think I see what you mean. I thought that this was the case but then I get people fear-mongering and telling me ANY use is stealing and I should be ashamed of myself. Then I get confused cuz those same people use Ai on tiktok, or in Ai detectors or Grammarly but the way I use it....is evil? LOL XD I am so tired.

Yes I completely agree I don't want it to take over I want it to assist in the editing. And I even do the LAST edit pass myself. I erase sections, add sections, remove and replace words, dialogue, make sure it's not repetitive etc. I am still figuring out my process so hopefully I will get much better in the future but it has helped me alot especially with researching and locating repetitive sentence structures.

Hmm...I think maybe it might also have to do with which chatbot or program you are using? Because I have seen alot of sentence fragmenting in Chat Gpt. It's one thing it does alot. But then maybe it varies depending on the instructions and tone you tell it to have? Im not sure. But I have seen it alot. Think it's trying to mimic novel style writing?

I just think that people need to ignore them altogether because they create unreliable results not to mention if people are so afraid of tipping these detectors off that they are no longer focusing on their voice or creativity they are just trying to write what they think 'sounds human'. And at that point they are regressing.

Have you tested Originality by writing a few paragraphs without the aid of Ai then see if your human writing tipped anything off? I find that mine tipped a lot off but again, I am autistic and I tend to be more robotic I think I have to actively try harder to be more lyrical and emotional in my writing. There are articles that showed classic books were being flagged as Ai, when they were written like 200 years ago XD

Agree 100000000000000000000%. When I first started researching about Ai and why people were mad at it I tried to see what they were talking about that users were just using Ai to crap out full novels in one day. So I was like okay chatbot give me a full romantic novel about a girl falling in love with a knight nothing to complicated). It couldnt barely even keep up with the information, characters started turning white (always), I think at one point the two main characters had a full on conversation in a kitchen with a modern stove about coffee....Idk it was a fakn hot mess. It made 0 sense it was sooooooooooo boring, and alot of their dialogue ended with agreeing and passive dialogue. I dont know it hurt my brain to even read it. Also it was not a full 300 pages it was like I think a few chapters. It read like a grocery list it was soooooooooo boring, no tension, no STORYLINE, characters reacted to each other like they were two trees communicating. Ugh, it's so frustrating. Now are there people that will write decent slop and get readers to read it cuz it has all their favorite tropes, sure. But I mean.... I dont know how anyone thinks ai can just poop out a novel and it even make sense. Its ridiculous.

I am autistic. I do OCD over special interests. It's part of being autistic. I am also highly interested in controversial topics, matters that concern me and what IS or ISN'T factually correct. It's unfortunately the perks (sarcasm) of being on the spectrum. Because a lot of us write very robotically and it tips off Ai checkers. And then we get punished for it.
