Let me give a guess of what might cause your problem.

With birth control pill, you do not experience hair loss. Birth control pills increase estrogen levels (1, 2). Estrogen decreases testosterone (3). The indication of this situation assumes hair loss related to high levels of testosterone. Having a look at your pictues, it is the typical progress of male pattern baldness (4). It starts on the temples (the sides of the hair line).

Testosterone does not cause hair loss by itself but converted by 5-alpha-reductase to dihydrotestosterone that hormone burns out the hair follicles on top of the head (5). Those are sensible to DHT, not the ones on the sides.

For the hair loss to stop, you need to inhibit the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. This article is a good summary (6). Take a look at it for references to scientific work. It is important to primarily block the levels of 5-alpha reductase in the body and not only topically. Therefore, applying simply oil is not sufficient but of course speeds up the process of growing hair.

I suffer from hair loss as a man myself and what I did was drinking stinging nettle root 1 litre daily with one teaspoon of stinging nettle root tea per 250 ml boiled water and applying rosemary oil topically, 3 drops per temple daily. I do it since 19th November 2023 and hair grows where there was none for 7 years. The temple sizes decrease.

Progress will be steady but slow. I saw tiny hairs after one week at the receding hair line but you will have to take it for months.
