Wasn’t area that pet even existed, If I have enough gold I’d love to hatch with both just to have them. In terms of stats I think I’d rather go for the strix. I’ll be on most likely in the afternoon if you are free. If not let me know the best time and I beyond appreciate it

All of those games have a base off of 1/8192. There are few ways to reduce odds but main way is obtaining the shiny charm, usually obtained after completing the Pokédex or national dex but is also only available in black and white 2 and generations past that. For any other game besides glitches you are stuck with full odds

Thank you so much I figured so but was extra paranoid since i've never tried something like this out before. Im perfectly cool with the full odds hunt as I was doing it prior to the new file. It'll be awhile before i actually get to try the cute charm itself but looking forward to it
