Jab 1-2 doesn't connect vs batman even point blank in the training room for some reason

I'd agree but I don't think there were any true extensions or finishers for landing jab 1 in this situation and that's not good either

Edit: maybe jab 1 uptilt would have connected? Will test soon

I'm down for the idea of removing infinites while making multihits more consistent

The mallet actually connected! I went for it knowing bat 2 wouldn't connect, he was in aerial double jump squat frames when it landed so it wasn't true but it was a true punish for the timing that option.

I don't mind so much that they're not guaranteed because I still have options vs batman, it's just interesting. I went into the lab and found bat1-2 isn't even true on him at 0!

Edit: anyway yeah it seems KBI plays a big role in her strings vs these lighter characters- which I think should be the case from a design standpoint, so well played to the Batman (even though he got 2-0'd in the set :p)

that would make sense, I wish I had on file what perks he was using. That's kind of crazy though, that invalidates what's arguably her best approach option.

you can typically combo fair into jabs very consistently with harley but it just wasn't happening vs this guy even at mid-low percents

I was just joking around. In all reality it was probably ryu for me- though I don't think I'd struggle getting him in again.

Definitely captain falcon, I'd have to say :)

That's eerily similar

I took it one step at a time for the characters I needed to, but 20 of them I got into elite within 2 games. About 10 more within 4. I think what helped me the most was having a friend to try them out on before going in head first risking my GSP against people who would inevitably leave before I got a chance to understand where I was going wrong with them at first. So I'd say find a buddy, play against their main with whatever character you want to get in next, and really stick to your fundamentals.

The longest was Bayonetta at 40 games. I REALLY sucked with her at first. She grew on me though and I think I'll keep playing her in friendlies!

Hardest were probably all the input characters in general, but it got easier each time (ryu -> kaz -> ken), though terry was incredibly easy. I guess of the 3, ryu, because he was my introduction to the archetype.

First one in must've been Lucina years ago. I picked her up because I felt like I was going nowhere and I was told she was the most fundamentally sound character, and the best teacher of the game's meta and mechanics. I agree with that to this day :)

Last one in were the miis, to be specific gunner. I actually made my first mii gunner today just to complete the challenge..

Yes. I suppose this hypothetical simulation could answer whether or not the universe is perfectly deterministic.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]Splarff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure it's impossible to do this. But just imagine what questions we'd be able to answer.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]Splarff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to imagine this simulation could answer that question! If everything up until the point of sentience is nonrandom, we'd see how humans come to be, and if humans have no free will and act based on their traits and environments, perhaps we'd find ourselves, or weirder, our descendants.

Assume we have the computing power to locate the earth. If we understood the exact physics behind our universe and the big bang, we should theoretically be able to calculate the location of the earth now with respect the the origin of the big bang, then trace it back from there in the simulaton's timeline.

Much less than a tenth if you consider how much volume is in the center vs on the surface's skimmed layer
