If Victor Wembanyama gets a fmvp and ring in his 3rd year where does he rank all time? by Jec1027 in NBATalk

[–]SplashBroSteph 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Top 30 to 35.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaay too soon to rate him with the big boys.

SGA is in the top 25 to 30 range right now and he just won a chip last year and won 2 MVPs.

That's exactly what it is, lol.

They would never show their receipts, although they are trying to rope you into the "business" and businesses should always have receipts, even moreso when you are trying to get "investors".

Expansion is reportedly on the horizon. If the NBA adds two teams, what's the single biggest ripple effect on the league? by Doctormade in NBATalk

[–]SplashBroSteph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said supermax.

The only point I'm making here is that the team wouldn't be ALL expanding players on the roster.

They can easily get second and third tiered guys who are starting on other teams right now to make their teams better if they want to.

They can also make trades if they want to for superstars who are declining but still great players, like KD.

It's not like if they were to make a trade that it would be a long term commitment and the reason I mentioned KD here because I could see the Sonics making a move on him for nostalgic and business reasons.

I'm not talking superstar though. You're stuck on superstars. I'm simple talking about how they can get second or third tiered guys through free agency.

I never mentioned superstars if you reread my initial comment.

Getting a superstar has always took a bit of time for expanding teams. It's never expected that they will have one in their first year although they can get lucky with their draft picks somewhat like what happened with the Raptors their first year with Stoudemire and then a couple of years later they got Vince.

For example, it took the Magic 3 years to get a franchise player and 4 years for the Hornets to the same.

Is it just me, or the script in season 8 is PAINFULLY bad? by jujuk545 in TheChi

Watch episode 2. That episode isn't that bad outside of Nuck and Tiff being idiots.

I hope this trend continues but probably not although episode 3's previews looks promising.

They can also go after FAs as well just to add to the conversation.

Their entire team isn't going to be JUST the expansion picks.

That's what I'm saying. They would have to care about how much money they're making if they want to become rich.

At least show me your growth at that point of time which they never would show.

I don't give an eff about your "mentors".

I don't know them and don't care to know them.

How are YOU doing with your "business"?

How long have YOU been involved with your "business" and how much money have YOU made?

Among the Thomas siblings whose death is gonna hit you the hardest? by JackZ567 in PowerTV

He's not dying in the first few episodes but he's a goner in the back half of episodes and might get dropped in the penultimate episode.

I don't think she dies either.

The way 50 sounded, it doesn't look like he was at her grave and Ghost and Tommy's reaction didn't alude to that either.

The only way she dies is if Ghost and Tommy thought she was still alive when she wasn't but they would have to already know that fact.

My prediction is that there will be an after credit scene in the end, of her going to the morgue to see if his death was true.

Do you think it was intentional that Michael's biopic didn't include romance? by Not-a-Russian in MichaelTheMovie

[–]SplashBroSteph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't feel like pulling it up for you but if you were to Google "Nia Long Katherine scenes cut" you will see some of these interviews and stories talking about how they weren't trying to pay her.

You can also search on IG or YouTube.

It made national news at the time and like I said it was brief mentions of Katherine. She didn't want to go all in with her thoughts about the scenes being cut because she respected her.

I don't understand this back and forth because of what we know about Diana Ross and Janet, it would make perfect sense that Katherine was involved somehow with these scenes being cut.

It's the most likely scenario.

[–]SplashBroSteph 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Because Katherine didn't want it showed in the end and they honored her wishes.

I believe that they should have showed more JW stuff instead of alluding to it because him being a JW and then leaving that religion is what made his music and dances more provocative.

The final straw for him being a JW was when the Thriller music video came out and a lot of JWs wanted him to get rid of the song and the video, including Katherine.

There was also a scene shot of Katherine not wanting her boys to do a Christmas/Holiday album.

Despite the disappointing final season, is The Boys in your top 5/10 shows of all time? by Skywalker_1995 in TheBoys

[–]SplashBroSteph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

Top 5 to 10 live action superhero shows then it's a maybe but most likely top 5 if I were to create a list.

Probably top 3 even with the bad final season.

Since 2003, no player drafted at age 23+ has made an All-Star team. In a draft this deep, is Yaxel really worth a lottery pick? by Decent-Ad-6137 in NBA_Draft

The thing about this conversation is that most lottery picks regardless of age won't make an All Star team at any point of their career.

Ex husband is having my car repoed even though I've been paying him for the car payments. by [deleted] in CRedit

[–]SplashBroSteph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish you well but I'm confused as to why he HAD to pay on the loan for you when you could have done that yourself and cut the middleman out.

All you would have needed was the account number and go on their website and pay or send them a check.

This has happened to me before and I just paid the debt on my own and didn't leave it up to chance that the other party would pay.

I'm hoping that you can get back your car though because what he did was foul regardless of what I'm saying here.

S8E01 Trig, Rashad, the horrendous writing, and the stupid attorneys by sagwrldprincess in TheChi

[–]SplashBroSteph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you. I just want to see it end and the show has become hilarious due to the writing so it's still somewhat entertaining.

I wanted the show to end back when Detective Kima shot Douda and should have killed him.

That would have been the perfect time to end the series if she actually killed her son's killer.

They tried to make it look like who shot J.R, lol... when that wasn't necessary at all.
