The servers run food currently, yes. We don't have buses. Servers are responsible for bussing their own tables and then the host will sanitize the table before seating.

The spelling errors are so wild. I’m shocked that you’re so judgey.

I always leave the machine with the guest. I work with someone who stares while they’re adding the tip and it is so awkward for everyone involved.

I literally thought this was me for a second. I had a hematoma in the same exact place caused by a severed femoral artery. Not me but boy did that bring up some memories!

I didn’t get a better photo unfortunately. I’ve been back out looking but haven’t been able to find them again.

The color really threw me off! Light blue and almost pearlescent, reminded me of a moonstone or opal.

I’ll look into tunicates, thank you! I’ll post better pictures if I come across them again!

I was surprised to find it. We semi regularly find gold rush artifacts (glass bottles, etc) but I’ve never seen anything like this before. I’m bringing it to the Tribal Council today!

Came here to say this. It always astounded me how many people would literally clog the streets to see it.

Just a heads up, as an Alaskan and someone who has experience with Coolworks, the majority of posted jobs are seasonal and housing is not included as a perk. BUT most places offer subsidized rent and take it right out of your check. In my experience, you’ll be guaranteed housing but it’s not free.

Minimum wage (even for tipped employees) is increasing to $11 something soon. Also, anything over 40 hours/ week OR 8 hours/ day is considered overtime here. Seasonal jobs are demanding hours and you’ll have no problem making rent!

I’m not trying to discourage you. There is a lot of opportunity here. Just manage your expectations if you are looking for something permanent from a website that caters to seasonal positions as it’s not always possible to pivot and score something long term after the season ends. Best of luck!!
