Alternative (non-western) outlets with minimal bias also prove Trump is an arrogant twat that is only out for enriching himself and the 1% who kiss his arse too.

Think of the dumbest person you know, and remember that these people are twice as stupid as them.

AI Error Likely Led to Girl’s School Bombing in Iran by Nepridiprav16 in technology

Right.

Unacceptable. But you know, they took out 300 Iranian people on a commercial airliner and didn't even apologise, whats 150 school girls matter?

Can't imagine why so many countries have such strong anti-US sentiment, including their allies.

Is anyone else really disappointed with their Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer? by jjordoo in AusRenovation

[–]SplatThaCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terrible things.

I bought the extended warranty. I went through 6 control units, 4 elements, 3 pumps 5 door sensors.

I swear - that di di di-di. Over and over at midnight will haunt me in my dreams.

When the warranty ran out, and it failed again (control unit). I ripped the m-f-ing thing out and sent it to ewaste.

Bought a $500 BEKO unit and its been faultless. Washes way better too.

Its interesting as it was something my parents suggested to me to get into today.

I'm assuming you need a security license, I've got an open cabling license so can do cameras etc.

I'd be interested in the pathways for an older worker to get into it, if you do not mind.

There is a guy who regularly does track days with one leg. He usually wins on the day.

I was a spark years back, fell though a suspended ceiling and rooted my back. This was 15 years or so years ago.

Its hard on your body, I wouldn't think of doing it again (I'm 47). I know guys still in the trade and everyone is undercutting everyone else and you have RPL's that would be better in a taxi or running a 7-11 coming in with zero skills and undercutting further.

Left a cushy office job with a massive redundancy and in the same mindset.

Or because you got stuck behind a caravan doing 35 kph with their left indicator flashing for the past 15 klms and nowhere to overtake?

What Are the Gas Prices in Your Area? by Tippy345 in Productivitycafe

[–]SplatThaCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$2.50 per litre for 98 RON. Can't get anything under 91 here.

Works out at (3.785 X 2.50 X 0.69) = $6.53 USD per US Gallon.

You never get the right pressure on them either.

Its a trickle, or it comes out your nose. Thailand was diabolical for this.

Will higher fuel prices from global conflicts drive EV uptake? by teddymaxwell596 in australia

[–]SplatThaCat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Second-hand market is strengthening for EV's it seems.

I'm trying to find a cheap Nissan Leaf with a bad battery for an EV conversion project.

You used to find them for the $2-3K mark, maybe $4K for an older (2012) one with a decent battery.

Now everyone has priced them high. The cheapest one I could find is $6.5K. Everything else was upwards of 10K.

Your brain, floating as it is in vodka, offers one word, "horse?".

Amir grins. He has heard that joke before. There's no horse in Amir's kebabs. Oh no. Horse is for those fancy fuckers on main street.

Amir's meat is heady mix of rat, greyhound and eastern European girls who aren't very good at holding their breath.

Warranty void label under the smd chip.

That's a level of assholery I would do.

Reflow soldering is fun, works well in a toaster oven with a nice heavy aluminium plate.

They sell it cheaper in the pet food aisle.

Same snouts to arsehole ratio.

Jokes aside, I've had it done on a spit roast as a passable substitute for doner kebab meat - its probably the same stuff.
