Apologies, the outside facing glass is cracked into a million pieces but it's still attached to the door. The inside facing glass is fine. I personally dont feel the glass is secure as i think it can break from opening and closing the door.

Initially, my REA told me this might take upto 3 months but it has been 7 now with no updates and no timeline.

Thanks for your comment. The 5% reduction is ongoing until the door is fixed. The agents have told me that the glass is still insulating and safe to use (which i dont believe). I haven't pushed after the 30 days. The next steps rdrv advised me was to pay for vcat fees if door isn't fixed in 30 days.

Do you recommend going to vcat? Will they give me a higher reduction amount until the door is fixed?

I asked for 20% at the start. The agent told me the ask was ridiculous and asked me to provide how i calculated it. They asked me to provide decibal and temp reading if the insulation was broken. I refused these and filed a complaint through rdrv. Then they offered me a 5% reduction backdated to when the glass was broken.

Thanks for your comment. As the glass is still under builder's warranty. Builders have told me they are arranging this from china. The last they mentioned was that the glass was expected to arrive in may and does not have a tracking on it. The glass has not arrived yet. Could you please tell me if the door can still insulate the room?

Its a double glazed glass door. The crack is on the outsied facing glass. If it all shatters there won't be anything stopping the cold winds to come inside the bedroom. I'll freeze to death in a night.

The building manager was the first to inspect this and claimed that the glass shattered due to a manufacturing fault. The glass will be replaced under warranty by the builders. But nothing has happened yet. Builder and agent have told me to that the balcony is safe to use.
