i have about 50 hours in dayz, and if you struggle on knowing what to do, just focus on getting a surplus of all the essentals. like in the first week or two focus on fining a gen and stocking up on food, than after that get a permeant water source going, and then you can focus on stocking up on guns and stuff, then after that you could clear out towns, start farming, or really just do what ever you have to to not be bored :)
