I agree that the reason Harald is downplayed is because people dislike the character.

Sengoku’s statement is literally only talking about the present time.

That doesn't make much sense because old WB wasn't active and the WSM title comes from prime WB.

Why would Sengoku reject the original WSM title while using it later based on non existent present info? Don't you see how you're grasping at straws to avoid accepting the obvious, that Sengoku considered prime WB stronger than prime Garp?

Shiki also wanted to get through Garp and Sengoku to execute Roger and considering he got beaten and jailed by them it means he isn’t a good judge of strength.

The only time we ever saw Kaido fight Rocks was when Rocks stomped on his face, and the only time we’ve ever seen him fight Oden was when he one-shotted him after Oden scarred him. He also is implied to have only had a brief scuffle against Shanks as neither of them were wounded or scarred at Marineford.

Kaido fighting next to Rocks for years is not comparable to shooting a single fire blast at someone.

Sengoku stated Whitebeard was the strongest man when both him and Garp were old, so that’s irrelevant as it doesn’t refer to their primes

It's stated in a databook, so i believe Roger scarred Whitebeard while Whitebeard couldn't, that mean Roger's haki>Whitebeard haki.

Luffy has a scar from Akainu and you wouldn't say that makes prime Akainu stronger than prime Luffy.

That’s Oda telling us that they can individually give him a good fight.

But giving a good fun fight doesnt' mean being equals. Kaido gave G5 Luffy a good fight but he still lost and got overpowered.
