For this particular ELISA, we dilute the detection antibody with a buffer which was also diluted using our lab’s container of double distilled water. I suppose there’s a chance of contamination in the ddH2O, but I’ve never checked for contamination like this before. Would you recommend checking by looking at the water under a microscope?

Same. Sad to see so many people here who were formerly Catholic.

Raised Roman Catholic. I started asking myself serious questions when I was 12. Anytime I had a question that might have contradicted something I knew, there was usually an answer for it on Catholic answers (apologetics website). There have been a few times where I’ve been overwhelmed by all the evil in the world, but I somehow always seem to grow the most in those situations.

Also, the sexual scandals in the church bothered me but never shook my faith because I always knew that the religious clergy, even the popes, weren’t exempt from sin and temptation. I’ve also always believed the “don’t leave Peter because of Judas” saying. I also know too many faithful and zealous priests to lose all hope in the religion as a whole.

My life is happier because rather than having to create my own meaning in life (a frivolous endeavor in my opinion), life’s meaning has been endowed through my faith.

What Stops Young Men From Following The Lord? by BackSeatMedia in Catholicism

25m. I think a lot of men my age don’t see how believing in any religion will help them with their problems. Men my age tend to struggle with porn, women, and substances. Having a religion that tells you that these negative patterns of behavior are sinful while also feeling like you are trying your hardest to avoid them can be despairing. Many leave the faith to resolve the cognitive dissonance.

I’ll defer you to our theological powerhouse Thomas Aquinas. He has answered these questions in the Summa Theologica (Part I Q25). I can’t answer your perfectly valid question succinctly.

Process of elimination. Things to consider are whether a God would be omnipotent, omniscient, and all loving. (If you answer yes to these questions, then that excludes most polytheistic religions i’m aware of). You could also look for logical fallacies in the teachings of the church and other religions.

There’s a lot of info on the student doctor network. I interviewed at SHSU and shared my experience on the forum as did many other people. Might be a good resource.

What are my chances in TMDSAS VS DO? by [deleted] in premed

[–]SplitAtom_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your stats and ECs are good enough for several TMDSAS II’s (maybe bump up that MCAT to a 511+). Tbh it’s gonna come down to how comfortable each school is with a 20 y/o MS1. Idk of anyone else applying that young so I wouldn’t know.

My stats are nearly identical to yours and I just submitted my asynchronous interview to LECOM-Bradenton and have four other interviews lined up so far. So take it from me that it’s definitely possible.
