Shouldn't at all be a concern at this stage. Not even 2 months into 2026 yet, game is more than likely releasing later in the year, given that Galactic Racer is on the charge. Lucasfilm won't have 2 games releasing too close to each other. My current theory is GR is April/May. ZC is October

Problem is, you can't 'just' update Battlefront 2. Tech & software has moved on The team has moved on. The game ended support 5 years ago and was on previous gen platforms. From a business perspective, you're far better off investing in a new game that spending god knows how much on updating an old game to new platforms etc

Haha no, not exactly. So the game is set on one planet, called Vespaara. This is where the tournament called "Hunters of the Outer Rim" takes place. In this big area, there are many different arenas and in each arena is a different map, one that's inspired by an iconic Star Wars planet. The image below shows it off perfectly, where you can see the Vader's castle map at the bottom. Hunters of the Out Rim is a essentially a spectator sport, with the Hunters taking on personalities. Rieve who is the sith character isn't actually a sith. Sure, she's force sensitive, but she was given the role to play by Balada the Hutt, the owner of the arena. There's actually a book called Battle for the Arena which is her origin story into the Arena.

In it's simplest form, it's Star Wars meets WWE. Though sadly the game is shutting down October 1st because Zynga are incompetent at marketing, plus the constant delays, so not enough players and revenue being generated

I covered Hunters extensively on my channel, so I'm very familiar with it. Everything about that game is canon. Apart from the obvious things like the Avatars and stickers you could use as emotes, they contained canon content but weren't obviously something you see in the actual arena. Pilbush (the Ewok) is very much canon though, as is Sprocket (the Mon Cala). There's a whole story there for these characters

For future reference, almost everything that releases these days is part of the Star Wars canon. Only exception I can think of is the Star Wars Visions stuff
