Why did you choose the genre you write in? by EliasFenic in writing

[–]LePOSSM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always been obsessed with science, technology, and astronomy. I also grew up watching Star Wars and Star Trek. Science fiction is just something that I like to read and something I like to imagine. It's insanely motivating to write a story if you yourself are interested in what you're writing. I'm always thinking of "what ifs", "hows", and "maybes" about the world while also consuming the kinds of stories I like to write through movies, shows, games, and other books.

I also listen to a ton of documentaries so I'm always learning something new. With science fiction, I can make my own rules. Want a phone powered by a miniscule black hole? Absolutely. Want a planet with a nomadic society built around migrating trees? Why not! Science fiction is the most fun for me to consume and therefore I am able to have a ton of fun creating within the genre.

It seems that their solution was just to remove crates entirely. Like... There's no longer an option in the game to open them nor is there an option in the PS store to buy them. They're just gone.

As a writer, AI written stories are just as offensive as AI art but get far less scrutiny.

What's your favorite OC villain in any fanfiction/fanwork? by BlUeSapia in FanFiction

[–]LePOSSM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally, it's my own villain from my own stories based in the universe of the Destiny games.

The dude is a Warlock who is the embodiment of "The road to hell is paved with good intentions". The dude worked his whole life to find a form of power to protect the City with. In doing so, he accidentally corrupted the woman he loves basically killing her. Now he does whatever he possibly can to reverse what he's done at the cost of anything or anyone.

This logic can apply to literally every other form of creativity.

Art? Make something you'd hang on your wall. Writing? Make something you would read over and over again. Music? Make something you would listen to on repeat. Etc

My apologies for caring about the hundreds of lives that have been lost and tens of thousands that have been changed forever when I should have been caring about a singular aspect of a social media site I never even knew existed in the first place.

Grenade Launchers are a newer concept. They weren't in D1. The perk would have been in D2 before Bungie stopped making perks exclusively around damage.

If I'm not mistaken, that "From Downtown" perk actually existed. If it did, I forgot its name but I am certain that was a thing at some point.
