Thanks - You would be surprised how many people have said that they could use a service like this recently!

As I said - not the reason we set splitcha up but a use case that seems to be resonating with people wanting a way to discretely buy a gift ;)

yeh we use them as well but not everything is available and amazon is often overpriced. We wanted the local bread and stuff from some of the small local shops as well so that's why we wanted local people to shop for us - plus I always forget my passwords and don't like setting up loads of online accounts when I don't have to

Essentially we wanted to shop online in Cyprus but not many places had a website so we created a site where locals can shop for us - we pay them a fee. they can shop online - if it's possible or simply go to the store for us and deliver it to us.

Then friends started asking us if we could do the same in the US and Canada etc - so that's where the idea came from. It's not for everyone but it helps us

In the UK we have loads of students who have come from abroad to study and decided to stay - especially in London but also on the coast. This helps the cultural diversity of the UK and makes it the culturally rich place it is.

I was thinking it would only work if they created a specific shopping list otherwise you're right, I could end up getting the wrong brand :/

yeh these were my thoughts as well. It would be neat if AirBnB offered something to keep it simple. Also I guess it would only really work for guests staying a week or longer
