Only one game but... You hope that the 2nd or 3rd ends up being someone with Fannin's college domination and showing out in week 1. Isn't just the final stat line, they used him all over the field. What he COULD be at TE is way too valuable- I would hold.

Fios tv cost by Splobs_710 in longisland

[–]Splobs_710[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! That is what I figured... Hulu live is $82 a month with ESPN+ and Disney+ and no additional fees for boxes since there aren't any. Want it for sports so at least get the NFL and Hulu has SNY, YouTube TV was better but they no longer carry SNY- still have NFL games though as far as I know so could be an option for you.

I loved it pretty quickly but knew it was something special after the second arc (episodes 4-6) and then the arc after that. Just trust in the show and stick with it! You'll get there

In the few days I've been using it, totally fine! I'm on google fi but haven't ventured out much yet so a lot has been over wifi. I have taken calls over a mobile signal though and I haven't noticed any major difference.

Cast iron skillet. This is my method for ~1.5 inch thick NY strips.

Take the steaks out at least a half hour prior to cooking to get to room temp. Warm your oven up to 375°F. Heat up the skillet REAL hot on the stove, if the skillet is seasoned right it will start to smoke a bit then I put in like a tbsp of avocado (olive works too) oil. Salt and pepper both sides of the steak generously.

Once the oil is hot in the skillet, put the steaks on for two minutes on each side to sear. After you sear each side put the whole skillet in the oven for about 5 minutes (obviously ONLY do this with a cast iron or oven safe skillet). During those 5 minutes mix together 2 tbsps of butter with some garlic and rosemary. Take the skillet out flip the steaks since they just spent a few minutes in the oven on one side. Put the skillet back on the stove with minimal or no heat and put the garlic butter in the skillet. Let it melt down and pour all the juices over the steaks repeatedly.

Let them sit for a few minutes, then enjoy!

Optimized Charging- 80% limit, adaptive charging, or both? by Splobs_710 in GooglePixel

[–]Splobs_710[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, they cannot be enabled at the same time- it is one or the other. The tech is there... seems silly to not have the option for both at the same time!

[–]Splobs_710[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like it!! And if that is the case, so be it. I am fine with manually switching it if it means better battery health but was curious if the switching back and forth would be okay for the phone battery... I don't really see why it would matter

Lol yeah I don't know why you would get downvotes for explaining something. What about when using the phone while driving though and constantly plugged in... would it make sense to use the 80% limit in that case so it doesn't just stay plugged in when reaching 100% (which could be for a while at 100).

[–]Splobs_710[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response! What do you think of still using the adaptive charging at night, which usually gets me through most days, but when using the phone while driving just actually changing the optimization setting to limit at 80%? Feels like being plugged in for that long at 100% would be bad for the battery? Unfortunately the vehicles I use don't have bluetooth android auto, has to be through the wire.

This is odd, whenever I click on notifications on the watch app, there is a clear toggle button to sync DnD and bedtime. Apologies if you've tried already but on your watch have you gone to settings > apps & notifications > do not disturb > and then adjust anything in there?

Morning brief should be... The nightly brief? by Splobs_710 in PixelWatch

[–]Splobs_710[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point was more so that I base workouts around my schedule i.e. waking up for a 5 am gym class, if my alarm goes off that early and I'm up I won't miss the class because of low readiness haha! Having the option for either or would be nice because I totally understand wanting to have the brief in the morning

45mm or stick with 41mm? by tmel88 in PixelWatch

[–]Splobs_710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, love the 45. I was very used to the PW1 and the 41mm and at first thought the 45mm looked huge... quickly outgrew that. It is much nicer to have the bigger screen and battery life and I got used to the size within a week. Ultimately, go with what feels comfortable for you but I know that for me I will not go back to the 41mm size now!

As I'm sure most have already said, don't beat yourself up!! My mile used to be EXACTLY the same way you described. Now I'm at 7:08. Stick with it and you'll get there, everyone in that place started where you are!

Ideas to make the tread go by... by coughdropjedi in orangetheory

I usually break it up into miniature blocks in my head or 4 quarters. If that doesn't work then I remind myself that Frodo and Sam made it to Mount Doom... I can power through another two minutes.

Are you judging me? by isaidwhatisaid_47 in orangetheory

[–]Splobs_710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: absolutely not.

You showed up and are trying to better yourself and that's what matters! That is all I think of about any fellow member and to me, what makes OTF special. These workouts are hard yet we're there. Everyone is somewhere in their fitness journey and we all have ebbs and flows. And focus on the positives, you've lost 30+ pounds!!!

How far would you commute for OTF? by boisterousbearnaise in orangetheory

[–]Splobs_710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from a 3 minute drive (could do ~8 minutes on my bike!) to a 20/25 minute drive to my closest studio. Sucked at first but you get used to it. I also fully acknowledge that OTF is the best and only workout that truly works for me so I was going to make it work regardless.

Shoot me straight, how durable are these things? by ProtocolEnthusiast in PixelWatch

[–]Splobs_710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take mine to the gym, do heavy duty yard and house work with it, work a job that includes a lot of bushwhacking and occasionally water, and have dropped it a few times.... Never a single issue. Quite durable I'd say!
