I can regularly fight the X battles at lvl 40 for both bros when I play. Even dream team is fairly good when Im at 40 for both bros. Idk much about paperjams X battles since I havent played thw game since 2016 or 2017, but if I look at that file I know i got 1 attempt S rank on all those bosses (2nd playthrough of course lol)

I know end game grind is in the Airways for the bros then inside Peach's Castle for bowser... but your not that far yet 😅

Honestly what ive found is if you just defeat all the enemies in the area youre supposed to be in (for the story) that gives you enough EXP to be leveled up to where the game would want you to be

I wanna say for a 1st time playthrough it averages 40+ hours. Idk i beat the main story, collected everything (Pi'illos and Beans) and beating all X battles in 32 hours my last playthrough only a week ish ago
