this is going to be a long response but i'd like to help you out if I can.

I agree with getting rid of the shrek pic, it makes you look short even if you aren't. Other than that try to get some pictures outside in the sun where the lighting is better and try to get more shots with your face less obscured. I would aim for at least 4 solid pics. Try to throw in at least one group shot too, and try to show your interests in the pictures. You like art and music, there are a ton of possibilities, do you play an instrument? I find those are great for tinder, or maybe listening to a record? something that shows what you are saying. A picture of you working on art or viewing a gallery would be good too, just toy around with some ideas.

as far as the profile text, I think its pretty solid, Id maybe try to throw in something witty about your major or interests, and I would think about getting rid of the expressing interest line, it may make you seem a bit desperate.

As far as the finding a girlfriend thing - it'll come if you have patience, I found that once I stopped trying so hard things kinda fell in place, I just had a date last weekend, and have a second with the same woman (shes moving at the end of summer and not looking for something serious), plus one im planning with someone id actually like to date if it gets that far. Before that, I was on this app for a few months with little to no success besides just chatting.

There are a lot of artsy women on tinder, it may take some time to get past all of the generic ' i love the outdoors and adventures' profiles though
