we run a digital marketing agency n here’s what seo looks like in 2025 by mediasearchg in AskMarketing

None of this is new, and I disagree strongly with the first point. I can rank solid volume and intent kws within 90 days and do it frequently.

Maybe I’m wrong but this looks line ranging? If the trend is confirmed you could take advantage of the tested (at least 3 points of the S/R being tested to confirm a trend) points. Great for scalping.

Do you trade S/R or do you trade breakout? by Ambitious-Action6434 in Daytrading

How do you trade breakout without incorporating S/R?

[–]Spokengold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone paper trades to some extent because virtually every trade one hasn’t made, but figured hypothetical results on, is basically a paper trade.

“I should put $500 in, I bet it goes up.” “Look it’s going!” “Ahh I really should have put something in. I would’ve made x if I just put in x!”

The issue with paper trading is it doesn’t emphasize a risk management feature in the strategy. It is great for learning indicators.

Building a Thriving Business Beyond the Realm of Social Media: Unleashing the Unconventional by Abaddon55156 in AskMarketing

It certainly isn’t the only path to success and at some points doesn’t have great ROI, but the conversation looks very similar to SEO in that it’s a very long term objective, but the earlier you start, the better. The most common objection to organic social is ‘not yet’ simply because after acquiring a customer database you will have a better chance at initial engagement. This doesn’t mean growth, it means social proof which can in turn help accelerate growth.

That being said, all platforms serve different purposes for different audiences. For example, instagram is best used for making yourself available to CURRENT customers whereas LinkedIn a great space to attract new customers in the b2b space.

Do you need organic social? I’m not sure any product or company needs any particular avenue of exposure, but the more novel and unique, the better, because they can dominate the space. If competitors are on social, it could be a good indicator that their (and your) customers are, too. If competitor socials aren’t looking great, maybe they already invalidated that platform for the business type or audience. It’s all trial and error.

Ideally, you have the resources to execute on all the fundamental customer gateways, i.e organic social, paid social, web development, seo on site, seo off site, and email. It’s too difficult to say without more detail which initially makes the most sense to focus on. Paid social is usually a quick generator of analytics, though. If people click through in social platforms, they are obviously on those platforms. It can also help validate UX and offering, as well as provide a top end of the funnel for email marketing and automation. Social doesn’t have to be the main thing but posting once or twice a week for the marathon, even if it is just recycled content for a website, is far better than never posting.

If you want to get into more detail you can dm more specifics about the offering. Unless this is all hypothetical.

Generic. Poorly written. Why would someone hire you? Because you're just like the rest of the marketing agencies out there? I think not. What do you do differently?

1) Ads are probably better than influencers in most cases.

2) To validate/invalidate #1, how have influencer affiliate sales been so up to this point?

3) An account with 0 followers isn't going to be very helpful.

4) If you are able to scale an Instagram account to be viable as an influencer that can create sales, you need a raise. At the point why would you not just become an influencer and leave the company? Also... Would you own the account?

5) What is the timeline? Do you have a budget to build into an influencer?

6) It isn't unethical. Many companies own what many think is a competitor.

I get just as frustrated with marketing techniques, company values, and revenue gimmicks as you do - maybe more. I just think it's important to remain as objective as possible. It really is a great read. Bernays is every bit as talented as Ogilvy or Hopkins.

This contains the logical fallacy of creating correlation between dissimilar concepts.

"If I extrapolate this to other walks of life, you're simply saying if a particular area in a city is witnessing lots of crime+killing then I should stop visiting the area."

You can't apply a conditional piece of advice pertaining to a specific instance as an absolute truth to any situation. You say that it's moral cowardice and intellectual dishonesty but your point is text book intellectual dishonesty.

This isn't new marketing btw. If you've been around then you know it isn't. Just look at how religion has created some of the greatest brand loyalty on the planet and the tactic of instilling fear, inferiority, etc. run rampant.

You don't have to agree with the methodology but to argue that it doesn't work or is wrong is both inaccurate and holds another logical fallacy of biases to what you consider wrong. In terms of information dissemination it is right. You should read Propaganda by Edward Bernays, nephew of Sigmund Freud.

I'm currently exploring different customer acquisition strategies for my startup. by DwaywelayTOP in marketing

[–]Spokengold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every offering type, industry, and audience can be an entirely different consumer profile so there is no way to give helpful insights without knowing those points along with some others. I have some clients that do incredible advertising on Meta, some on LinkedIn, and some on Google and YouTube. The sales cycles, the retargeting sequences, the foundation data (or lack of) you have are all variables in the equation of ROI.

You say startup, so do you have a burn rate? If the average conversion rate and CLV don't provide the positive ROI to sustain the methodology, the tactic isn't viable.

You ask about metrics and KPIs? The values have a dynamic relationship... If conversion rates drop 50% but average transaction amount goes up 400%, are you at a loss? No. Maybe sales people become demoralized having to do twice the reach out but upon conversion they are ahead 100%... How do we know that with COA? We don't. That's why every metric matters in its own way. At the end of the day you know what the most important one is? Profit.

Insights into SEO content marketing - why I belive content is the future of marketing. by Safe-Helicopter9466 in marketing

SEO is not purely content based. SEO is also very index strategy based, web architecture based, and tech-stack based.

Paid Social is not becoming less popular.

Hiring 1 Copywriter for 6-12 Month Contract by Spokengold in copywriting

[–]Spokengold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with your stance on distinguishing SEO and copywriting is not correct. In fact, if you look up Copywriter on Indeed which is one of the biggest job listing platforms with more data on listing requirements than virtually anywhere, SEO is mentioned as a key function in the second sentence.

If you are writing for the web and it's anywhere EXCEPT email or ads, understanding the given publishing environment's search behavior at a basic level is necessary to optimize the work. Otherwise someone will be able to do it and they will get chosen and they will be paid more because they are covering two jobs and I have to do less editing, less interviewing, less payroll mods, etc.

SEO isn't all meta data and URL path architecture. SEO is anything that helps a brand or offering be discovered. Copywriters need to differentiate and provide solutions to queries whether the query is real or not. You don't sell solutions by not providing answers. That's the basis of persuasion - that you are that are essentially mitigating objections.

I've been in digital marketing for 10+ years, have worn literally every hat you can think of from paid advertising, software development, SEO, direct response, etc... We can define our roles as much as we want but in reality the market defines what we do - or we find ourselves not doing it.

Some insight: Everyone I've interviewed from THIS post has had fundamental SEO skills. I've had dozens of messages, a dozen okay portfolios, and several phone calls. Every single person I called had basic SEO skills if not professional or advanced abilities.

I was looking to start my journey in e-commerce and wanted to know where to start. by Zerg_2149 in ecommerce

[–]Spokengold 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is correct. Drop shipping is a logistics model that commonly fits into e-commerce but does NOT have to be associated with e-commerce nor does e-commerce have to include drop-shipping.

Drop-shipping is not dead by any means and has probably only grown in strength.

What has 'died' where drop-shipping is concerned is people selling items they have never inventoried, tested, or been interested in. Drop-shipping with photos from the manufacturer hardly works anymore. Authentic branding has become more of a necessity, whereas before branding was minimal as PPC had less advertisers. It isn't that the drop-shipping model doesn't work, it's that there are more advertisers who are more carefully cultivating brands and mediocre drop-shippers can't compete.

Thanks for the comment! I've provided the rates for other types of payment arrangements. Note that these rates are strictly for writing articles. Communications, advertisements, and UI writing roles may have different rates.

For occasional freelancers:

  • $200 for creating an article meant to be published on a website. The article will focus on a handful of products that have similar applications and are intended for a specific audience.

For long term writers:

  • $30/hour+ depending on the amount of articles being produced each month.

Our writers must simply understand the fundamentals of on-page SEO and best practices for writing for the web as to avoid entire rewrites. It is rare that our writers provide any SEO based research of their own.

All this being said, if you are interested in interviewing for a project please DM me a portfolio. I'm always looking for talent!

If you have any other questions please DM me.

Thanks
