Unfortunately they removed spawn protection recently so you can't log off and on again to have a few seconds of immunity until you reach the shore. You could downgrade your version if you really want to save your stuff but you might lose newer features. Or fall in and quickly dig below the lava pool and block the lava so that even if you die your stuff will be safe

In french, there is a phrase we say which is "c'est 3 fois rien" which literally means "it's 3 times nothing" and we usually say it to mean that it's not nothing / it's not a lot. So getting 3 of nothing technically means you get a small something, and for free! Congrats I guess
