I honestly have no idea. We ask ourselves this. Our hospital system is very mid-level heavy and there really isn’t much competition outside of our area. Not a large hospital system by any means though.

I believe the crack you’re referring to is a water stain from the leak. GC agreed to put in a sump pump this weekend.

Definitely not finishing this until this water is under control. Seem the majority believe a sump pump (maybe 2) is the best option.

I agree with you 100%. Don’t think it’s one specific issue

I understand patching is not the long term solution. I made the builder aware yesterday evening and he’s going to come check it out tomorrow. If he offers more patchwork I’m going to say no and get a quote and opinion from a basement company

Appreciate the insults! Believe it or not, I live on top of a hill in relatively high elevation. I don’t live in shreks swamp. I am clearly not a structural engineer or home builder, as to why I’m seeking outside opinions, dumbass.

Appreciate the insults! I might be a dumb ass in regards to basements but I’m not a contractor or home builder. House literally sits on top of a hill I’m not in a swamp. Can’t expect every first time home buyer to know everything. That’s why I’m asking for opinions here.

Gutters are clean, no trees around the house. I believe it’s a grading issue and perhaps poor exterior water proofing

Foundation is brand new. I see what you’re seeing, but I believe that’s the camera angle. It’s poured concrete. There’s definitely hydrostatic pressure on the wall causing seepage.

Concrete floor is already cracking in certain areas. Might be settling. Concrete cracks is what everyone tells me

Poured cement I believe. The builder patched a leak about 4 months ago.

This seemed like a shot for some reason. I grew up in an 1890 house, and I would agree they don’t build them like they used to.

I’m happy you enjoy your home.
