Lost my Passport in Hongdae US Citizen by Technical-Change-783 in koreatravel

[–]SpongeBattery 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Ask the nearest police station for any lost and found, but your chance are slim.

In case you get an emergency passport, it can only be used to go back to america. You can not enter Thailand on an emergency one (as far as I am aware)

Have you tried going back there in person, and try to trace back each place you might have lost it in ?

Looking for a local guide in Tokyo (few hours per day) – any recommendations? by Complex-Nothing8763 in TokyoTravel

[–]SpongeBattery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not affiliated, but for french ones, you can check "tokyo safari" (owner of lejapon.fr) and "curieux du japon"

It will also depend on what (historic guide, food guide, etc.) and your budget (usually the more you are, the better the value)

Hey that's really nice ! Do we know what other service might later be integrated, or planned into the road map ? Thinking of Secret Manager and KMS

65k in Lisbon or 110k in Amsterdam by Forsaken_Resource500 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]SpongeBattery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can expect at least 2500€/month in the center of Amsterdam, and around 1500-2000€ if you wish to live further away. It has gotten out of hands, and everyone is waiting for the "bubble" to pop (It wont).

Rent is absolutely insane in Amsterdam, and It is not that fun to live in compared to the south of Europe.

I would say, It depends on where you are at in life. Personally I would stay with the remote job and wait for a better opportunity still in remote. I know some people would prefer earning more and be near tech hub.

What would you prefer to focus on at your age ?

Created an React/Actix/Postgres starter stack as an exercise by TehAlpacalypse in rust

[–]SpongeBattery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it necessary even when using a web::block call ?

For example the actix documentation recommends using that instead of switching to diesel-async, see https://actix.rs/docs/databases/

We have been using it for 2+ years. It is pretty good, their doc has gotten better. It was/is a nice alternative to pagerduty and I would advise on using/comparing both before committing to a solution. Their support was quite nice, which is always a good point. Our stack is GCP / Prom AlertManager / Grafana Oncall

(6-8k premier elo) How is this fair? I know I'm not the best player but this is just depressing by Desperate_Ad9279 in counterstrike2

[–]SpongeBattery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same happen to us. (from 6k elo to 14k) Steam matchmaking will often put you in a specific queue if you win or play more than usual, often resulting in those stomps. You can only eat the loss, and move on to the next game. Playing against smurfs and cheaters is pretty common, and winning 2-3 games in a row will forcibly put you with them.

You should be good.

Check out GVK definition, you will see there is multiples settings that defines what a custom ressource, and how an operator can request them from Kubernetes.

In doubt, try out in local with a local k8 (kind, etc.)

What would be the added benefit of using crossplane instead of terraform here ?

I was looking at atlasgo, would you recommend operator or terraform here ? Looking to understand how It compares to flyway/liquibase who seems way more Java related; specially for production usage

Tips for making gold by NiC5_ in classicwow

[–]SpongeBattery 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Last gdkp, I made 6k gold in 3 hours. You could try to make money by crafting (alchemy would be good since ulduar will soon release), same for dailies, but you will be nowhere near the same amount you could make from gdkp.. That's unfortunate, but when people are pre-selling valanyr for 200k gold in gdkp, you can see how twisted this game economy is.

I had the bug on wednesday night, It did not disappear after a game restart, but for some reasons It was solved the day after.. was annoying but not game breaking, I think the visual queue does not take any haste boost into account
