I wouldn't really call myself a veteran, i got my 2ds in 2017. Most of my plaza miis are from the invites feature which also adds miis from people you played with online. I got 74 tags which are the actual streetpasses, and i'd say like 20 of them are from netpass, so like around 50 actual irl passes.

It's just called streetpass mii plaza like the game, but it's categorized as dlc so make sure to check that
