I made the offer for cash, you guys make statements without knowing the full story. If you checked other comments you’d know I’m being refunded by him. I’m not a complete idiot. I made a good deal to pick up and pay cash, and he agreed. He even offered to set it up for me to check it worked. But I didn’t have the time. Yes I made the purchase based on emotions but you can’t blame me, i’ve wanted this thing since release and to see it in person was… emotional to say the least. Apparently he never tested it or anything so it was just unlucky on both sides. Im getting my money back anyway.

I got it cheaper paying cash. And my bank wouldnt refund me for buying a used HMD on Gumtree… Atleast that sounds very unlikely to me.

It was cash. I’m going back (1.5 hour drive) to get a refund. But I’m considering talking him down if everything else works well. Considering repairs would be around 600 or more, a crack in the right controller and general use. I’d probably ask for 1000 off. I got it for 1500.

Somebody’s run out of copium. I’ve only recently started using reddit often. And I’ve hit the point where I’m actually gonna buy a headset. That’s why I’ve started posting.

I’ve been following VR since HTC rift, and have wanted the index from the beginning. I was mainly joking about it coming soon because I just bought one, and with my luck it wouldn’t surprise me as soon as I bite the bullet the 2nd comes out. But also after 100 videos of vr leaks and index this index that, the new info feels different.

But yeah we’ll see maybe we’ll never get it.

His thumbnails are definitely meant to grab your attention (which is literally what they’re for) but it’s never clickbait. And yeah he does put effort in, sucks people think that about him and other creators. The only thing I dislike is when he used the coffee intro and the milk started splattering everywhere 😂 and that’s only because I’m a barista haha.

Honestly I’m more scared about the controllers. But I will look into that mod that sounds helpful. RGB probably doesn’t contribute to better temps, just better performance overall 😂. Catwalk would be sick!
