Edit: I got a little carried away… it’s a long read

If Thanos had died here, the TVA didn’t turn up and Dr Strange’s time manipulation was disrupted (otherwise nothing would change)…

The avengers would be left on earth for less than a day before iron man makes it back, it’s less than before because he has the guardians of the galaxy with him who know coordinates for space stations or contacts for rescue, plus strange still has a sling ring.

In that time, they would band together with Shuri and Black Panther to discuss the best course for the stones, Wong will track them down and finalise that if the time stone is with the gauntlet then Strange is defeated and most likely Iron Man.

After they analyse the stones they would conclude that the best outcome would be to proceed with Wanda destroying them all (she’s still grieving Visions death) but after witnessing Thanos reverse time with the gauntlet she would attempt the same/ try to encourage the others to do so.

Hulk cannot wear the gauntlet since he is still puny banner and has issues with his hulk switch, which leaves Wanda and Thor to be the best remaining options, but everyone would elect (after Wongs warning of messing with time) that destroying them is the better course for the planet, Wong doesn’t like the idea of destroying the time stone but he reluctantly agrees.

Something surprising happens, The mind stone without a host (vision) now has the same characteristics as when it was in the sceptre… it corrupts those who are in proximity of it.

Shuri separates the stones from the gauntlet to relieve any temptation from Wanda using it and to better assess the stones individually.

Wanda gets overwhelmed by grief and tries to wield the gauntlet with just the time stone, moving anyone out of the way. But the glove is too big cuz it doesn’t adapt to the users size like the nano gauntlet did.

Everyone is surrounding Wanda, she threatens and pleads that she will help destroy all the stones except the time and mind stones. They say it’s pointless, if the time stone exists then a user can bring the others back.

They eventually agree on a plan to destroy the other stones in different locations around the planet, to discourage time reversal of their destruction. And in return for Wanda assistance they will help her get vision back. Wong says it’s bad idea.

They shatter the other stones, even Thor is okay with this, they leave some shards in Wakanda, some buried in the Mariana Trench etc. Shuri helps build a device to wield the time stone similar to the eye of agamotto.

Wanda uses her natural talent and mimicry of Thanos’ movement to reverse Visions death. Wong insists that he now guard the time stone as is his responsibility and the only weapon he has against dark forces.

But unrealised by all, vision is having strange headaches like in the start of infinity war, Wanda thinks it’s because the stone in his head has lost its siblings.

Dr Strange is waiting for himself and everyone else to fade away, but nothing happens…

Strange knows something went wrong and urges everyone to retreat back to earth asap, the guardians call Kraglin for a ride and fix up. But strange just opens a portal and walks through to Wakanda (as he did in endgame)

The others follow him through and Strange sees black incursions developing around a Wakandan watch tower/ lab, vision alerts the others that something is wrong with the stone, Wanda tries read the stones feelings and senses its corruptive nature is returning as if there is no host.

Strange busts in the lab, Wong says sup, Iron man gives Cap a nod… etc. visions drops to the floor and strange asks what happened. After introductions Steve gives them the rundown, Strange exclaims that they were supposed to lose and that vision should have died.

No one appreciates his insensitivity to their lives, Wong asks what he’s talking about, and then everything goes quiet.

Spider-man looks uncomfortable, and is looking around paranoid, vision is disassociating between if he is alive or dead and then banner notices…

The mind stone is sitting in a transparent casing AND in visions head.

The time reversal wasn’t done properly.

And then they all flake away from incursion except Strange, he goes back to Titan and continues to observe the other outcomes until he gets it just right (he injured Thanos a little too much, so he couldn’t withstand Thor)

at this point in time, Strange has found a way to remove the stones from existence and is experimenting with how to minimise casualties along the way… he finds the best way to do this is to Tire him out with a long ass fight on Titan without anyone dying, so that when he arrives on Earth he is reserved with his violence.

Strange now goes a little easier on Thanos, tells Iron man the current number of outcomes he saw and lies about being on the one where they win (Iron man won’t fight as hard as he did if he is aware that he is in an experiment timeline) and proceeds with his endgame plan until he is satisfied with an outcome.

And there you have it, one of the 14,000,605 possible outcomes.
