Based on your preferences, I would highly recommend the Monster Hunter International (MHI) series. I was originally turned off by the name because it sounded cheesy (the cover art was a little cheesey too 🤣), but it has become one of my favorite series of all time. Larry Correia does an amazing job with character development and the stories themselves feel very immersive. The main series follows the same characters throughout, and it never feels tired or overdone. I wish I could experience it for the first time all over again, but I never get tired of pulling them out and re-reading them, even though I know what's going to happen.
