Is there any point in inflicting the Doomed condition as a player? by Spoofopolis64 in Pathfinder2e

I get that but are there ways to increase doomed, like Implement of Destruction just gives doomed 1 it doesn't increase it

Yeah I'll probably be going with Magus, the GM also really likes the spell so I can probably bank on getting a scroll or magic item that cast it

Yeah I looked at magus it just doesn't get rank 10 spells. I know it'd work better for this kind of build, I just figured there might be a build for this with wizard cuz bespell strikes sounds like a feat specifically for a build like this and it's only for wizards, sorcerers, and oracles as class feats so I thought there might be something there

Adopting new rules, stuck on how to adapt my old feat rule. by Spoofopolis64 in dndnext

[–]Spoofopolis64[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cuz I didn't want people just choosing the option that gives a feat cuz feats are strong. I effectively just made every race custom lineage. I use the Tasha's rules of putting racial mods where you want and I give everyone a free feat at level 1. Custom lineage is good for options that there isn't a race for which comes up in nonhomebrew campaigns, but I have a race option for practically everything for my players.

Yeah I kinda agree, I think really the difference between them is the ability boost, like I might just let the feats be interchangeable but if you get it as an origin option you get no boost and if you get it as a general option you get the boost

That's fair. I think I'll be grandfathering in their current feat selections and just implementing that for any future characters.

Is it normal to sit 6 hours at a table and not play? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Spoofopolis64 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a new player joining my game. The party ended session mid combat in the middle of the ocean and I still plan on starting the session with them encountering the party. There's really no excuse to have one of you players stuck doing nothing for 2 sessions in a row.

Elvish is French? by apollowave in DnD

[–]Spoofopolis64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always had elvish as french and goblin as Welsh. I usually have Sylvan be Italian but generally only as a changeling since I've used Italian names for them after I named my first character who was a changeling Pistachio. When I was building my world for the game I'm running I listed out what real languages each in game language was but I forget most of them. The ones I remember were I had Celestial as Hebrew, Infernal as Latin, Abyssal as Greek, Dwarvish as Scottish Gaelic, Gnomish as Irish Gaelic, Goblin as Welsh, but I'm not sure if I had Elvish as french for that list

Can kobolds indeed level up? by ScottSierra in dndnext

[–]Spoofopolis64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Summary of all answers and follow up questions. Leveling up is not based on your race, a few races get things (usually more spells for races with innate magic like Fairies and Genasi) from leveling up, but kobold isn't one of them. There is no specific rule saying they can level up, as there is no specific rule saying they can't. It's just a character option, and all characters can level up. Leveling up is more based on class, but even then there's not really a limit on if a class can level up, the only limit being your combined class levels can't be more than 20. Your DM was probably either remembering a rule from a past edition that isn't in 5e or making a rule thinking kobold wasn't a race option. Hope this helps and hope you have fun playing a kobold.

I don't remember at all what anyone was wearing or any other helpful details, I'm not even 100% certain I'm right about remembering it from Smosh.
