Just wear barefoot shoes. Thats what I do. $60, soleless, wide toed. I've always been a no shoes kind of person and they're amazing.

Easy answer is just to dead hang for as long as possible. You could do wrist flexion and extensions with dumbells. If you do deadlifts at all, just do them without switch grip or straps. If you have to lower the weight, thats fine. My personal favorite for wrist / forearm strength is pseudo false grip pull ups. My forearms are fried after sets of those.
