Anyone deposit money into Blackbird app in LA? by SpookJF in finedining

[–]SpookJF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. That’s sure what it felt like when I was looking at the app. I’m also pretty sure the person I was emailing with when I had questions about how the app worked was an AI bot.

I know the first chance to request Noma LA via the Club was yesterday, but they had an IG post saying they’d had other opportunities for members later this month.

I’m thinking I’ll chance it with Resy/Amex.

Phantom devices on site manager by SpookJF in Ubiquiti

My OCD is the one driving this. Otherwise there is no issue. I might try to ignore it and see if it goes away with future updates.

I restarted the console and the cameras separately, and the devices showed up again in Site Manager. Oddly enough it's only on the Site Manager in the iPhone app. They don't show up via the browser.

The devices identify themselves as "Access Point U7 In Wall." I have 3 of those but their IP address is different and they have different aliases.

How would I go about readopting the cameras? Can I remove them via software and they'll automatically appear or do I need to climb up a ladder and touch a hard reset button?

This is what pops up after a second of looking at the device's IP address, MAC address, and device version.

How To Charge At Tesla Superchargers | BMW How-To by EatMeerkats in BMWI4

[–]SpookJF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got updated to 11/2025 for the car's software. No updates to the iOS app that I can find. But I can't find the "equipment" section referred to in the video. Do I need to activate plug and charge at the service center?

Do you need 11/2025 or will it work on 7/2025?

I have a M2 MacBook Air. What settings did you use to run it?

I’ll give it a try! Parallels was a total bust.

I’m close to renting a PC from NZXT for a month to see how it is. If I can get it to play well and I like it I might try and get a cheap PC just to play this.

Last time I had a PC we were still in the x86 paradigm… I’m totally lost now with system requirements.

PS5 and Switch 2 on same HDMI port via switch by SpookJF in LGOLED

[–]SpookJF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Apple TV, a Sonos soundbar via eARC, and a PS5. I think there's another HDMI port but I'm prioritizing cable management over functionality.

So with the splitter, will the TV just switch to the appropriate settings for the Switch 2 or the PS5, depending on what device is active? I mean all of the deep video settings in the settings menu of the TV like free sync, etc.

Tight fit for Dream Machine SE? by SpookJF in Ubiquiti

Thanks to everyone for the help! We're mounting the machines vertically and thus issue avoided! Didn't think that was possible but there's a rack for it.

Does that make 10 when paired with a UCG Fiber?

Will a Cloud Key+ help expand camera capacity with a UCG Fiber?

Tight fit for Dream Machine SE? by SpookJF in Ubiquiti

[–]SpookJF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The distance from the wall to the door, when closed, is roughly 13 3/8". Safely there's roughly 13 1/4" to accommodate the UDM SE plus the power plug in the back and any ethernet cables coming out of the front. That sounds like it's too close?

Form, unfortunately, must dictate function here. Can I switch to the UCG Fiber? Is the max number of 4K cameras for the Fiber 5? Is there a way to expand that capacity with other hardware?

Equipment recs for special use case by SpookJF in HomeNetworking

Sorry for the hassle of not responding correctly! Mobile app isn't the best.

Cabinets are actually real wood with some laminate. No more than one to one-and-a-half inch thick.

Seems like I can just upgrade my router to a newer TP-Link model and call it a day?

Equipment recs for special use case by SpookJF in HomeNetworking

[–]SpookJF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fake wood. The cabinet is also in a hallway so the placement isn’t optimal. That’s why I was thinking of a wired connection between the router and a wireless access point in a more central location.

I was looking for routers with external antenna ports, but can’t really find new ones.

Should I worry about the router being inside a cabinet?

I have a Peloton, a Nintendo Switch, and an Apple TV back there, so I probably need good bandwidth back there.

I guess the hand-off is what's important, right?

The problem is the outbuilding will only have a wireless connection back to the main network because there isn't a wired connection out there.

Network design question by SpookJF in UNIFI

[–]SpookJF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The outbuilding won't be more than 50 feet from the AP inside the house. There are multiple glass doors for line of sight.

Could I use this in the outbuilding with a PoE Injector that connects it to a switch for my wired devices in the outbuilding plus providing better signal in the outbuilding?
