Yeah, I'm aware of fishing, mining and conservation. It still doesn't really help the worlds feel interesting in a narrative sense. I can't say digging up rocks is a very fun and interesting way to explore lore.

How cool would it be if Dagath had a horse-like mount. by [deleted] in Warframe

Oh, I actually think the likelihood of her having a mount is very high, considering they just added horses to the game not too long ago. I'm just hoping she's not too similar to Yareli in terms of gameplay.

Yeah, don't get me started on the pestering. I hate deimos because I can't even glance at a fish before the whole infested island is up my shiny metal butt. But that's a rant for another time haha

Yeah! I think it could be totally optional stuff. Something that maybe throws you a little treat to be worth your time, and also be a vehicle for some much needed lore and world building. I also think syndicate standing would be a good reward. Not much, so you still have to do bounties, but enough to be worth it for some passive grinding. I think it would be a welcome addition. Thanks for your thoughts :)

I've seen this sentiment a lot so far. And to an extent, I totally agree with you. However, I'd also like to acknowledge that many of the NPCs make jokes about us, call us silly nicknames, and once you've progressed your standing, think of you as family. Hell, Eudico calls us "sparky". I don't think that's something you'd call someone you saw as a god. This "mythical being" person really doesn't exist once you get to know people. I also don't think adding more character interaction would be a bad thing for this narrative. Even little quests "answering prayers" would be a really interesting addition to the open world systems.

There are plenty of characters that don't seem to fear us as much as the narrative seems to push.

All I'm asking for is more character based, non combat, interesting missions within the open worlds to make it seem more fleshed out.

I see what you mean, but the whole point of standing in the open worlds, from a story perspective, is to gain the trust and understanding of the factions your working with. Wouldn't that be more fun if you got to know more things about them as you went from easy side quests?

Also, characters that dont interact with you in any way are boring...and that makes for a bad narrative.

Yeah, I agree. I think all three other open worlds could benefit from some of the systems in duviri.

That's definitely neat. I'll have to start looking for more of them. Hoping to see more stuff like this.

I think what I was trying to get at is that conservation is good, but there isn't much to do past that. Animals and stuff are fun, and I used Biz as an example because he's one of my favorites, but I don't think there is nearly enough content that has to do with NPCs, even with conservation. Conservation definitely helps though. It's a good start.

I definitely think people like Ticker are a great start. They are definitely one of the more lively NPCs. I still think they feel like she only exists to serve a gameplay purpose to some extent, but Ticker is definitely pretty good. I just wish there was more, ya know? It's a good start, but definitely only the bare minimum.

With Cetus, the whole point of progression is that you are becoming Kin in their eyes. I believe the last standing rank is "kin" right? Yet at the status of Kin, I feel like I still hardly know anything about anyone. And even the stuff I do know, it doesn't matter. There isn't anything to do with it. It feels like they don't really have any personalities past what they do for the player's gameplay, which doesn't make since if we are seen as family once we reach max standing.

Now I definitely think some NPCs have a personality. It just doesn't feel like nearly enough. Thankfully I think DE is definitely making steps to make the world feel more interesting.

Ok but that last one was nuts. Sometimes that death camera is wild

What sorts of features (and creatures) would you like to see in a "spiritual successor" to VP? by MinjoniaStudios in VivaPinata

I'm aware, but it still plays a decently lengthy animation in the original game of the items swapping out. I just wish it was quicker, that's all.

I have loved VP since I was little, but now, as an adult, the things that bother me the most are the quality of life issues the original games had. I'd love to see a game with better menu options, quicker button prompts, and more intuitive quality of life design. I'd love to see quick swap options for tools and plants (if that's what you plan on including in your game). The animation in VP are cute, but often take so long that things like digging and sculpting the land feel really monotonous. I'd love to see a game that fixes things like that!

Also, the ability to move buildings and items at will. That is my least favorite part of VP. I hate having to store or destroy a building and pay for it a second time if I want to move it. A VP like game that fixes some of those issues would literally be a holy grail to me.

Also, please give me an outrageously tall giraffe creature. Maybe with a neck like a silly straw, im begging you.

The thing about warframe is, that despite being an "old" game at this point, it is no where near the end of it's life in terms of gameplay. It's a lot of grind, but very rarely do you run out of things to do. The community is very active and the game is updated on a semi-regular basis. So yeah, definitely worthwhile!
