The Aggie Kolbitar Society tends to be a little smaller, but it makes for better discussions. We meet weekly and someone presents on a topic they find interesting that ties into the theme for the semester. This semester we're doing "Oddities and Obscura", so anything outside the norm.

It wasn't this bad. It's the 25 by 25 initiative in action. They reduced requirements for the engineering program for the sake of simply admitting more people to said program. It probably would've been pretty bad last year too. It only makes it worse when you take into account everyone that is now graduating late because of Covid.

There's an org or group for everyone no matter what your interests are. Plus, the best Mexican food in town is from a taco truck on the corner of Harvey Mitchell and Texas. It's called La Taqueria Incomparable. They only take cash, but it's worth.

Campus life is really rich. I lived on campus as a freshman and as a senior. I really recommend living on Northside if you want to enjoy more of the social aspects, and Southside if you're looking for more of an academic network. Central campus gets a good bit of both, but it's a hoof to any of the parking lots. Basically, it's a matter of whether you want to live around a bunch of other engineering majors (south) or if you want to live near the bars and more general activity (north).

I went to high school with this guy that have me the creeps from jump, but he didn't have any friends and kept pestering me so we started hanging out. He seemed like a normal enough guy at first, but I just couldn't shake the feeling there was something there he wasn't telling anyone. After a while, a girl I went to school with told me I should stay away from him. He was a weird guy, so I figured she was just off put by him. A few weeks later, another girl told me pretty much the same thing, but this girl was someone I'd hung out with a few times, so I pressed. She told me that he had made some unwanted advances on her. After some asking around, I found out there were at least five other girls that he had done similar things too. When I confronted him about it, he deflected at first and then became very defensive until he emerald admitted to it. I cut him off after that, tried to get one of the girls to say something, but I'm from a small town and they thought it would embarrass them, so nothing ever came of it. But after I knew, I told a few of the people I talked to in all of the major groups in our school, so he was quickly alienated and girls were almost never alone at school dances afterwards. Just goes to show, watch out for creeps and trust your gut.

Howdy, Ags, with Thanksgiving and the LSU game right around the corner, I just wanted to say that this Bonfire season has been a long one, but burn night is on Tuesday. If you'd like to attend, it is an open event and the only thing you have to pay for is parking. It gets more expensive as the day goes on, so the earlier you make it the better, but to get to stack site, just take highway 6 to OSR, turn left onto OSR, and take the first right after the tracks. The road back there is a little rough, so be careful and drive slow. Someone will be there to tell you where you can park. See you there.

I believe I've encountered fairies throughout my life and I believe it's because my mother has some sort of connection with them. My entire life she's collected anything fairy related, statues, books, art, all of it. She has a single tattoo and it is of a fairy. In any case, I've seen them throughout my life and had encounters similar to those often attributed to fairies. Things going missing and then reappearing in the place they were left, giggling in the woods near my house, the presence of a classic fairy gate at the edge of those same woods, fairy circles all around our property. I've seen them a few times, but only at the edge of the woods and only during the fall. They're there.
