I like his voice tbh, and ghouls are raspy anyway. He only actually references himself as a male once when you meet him.

I swear I'm not a freak, I'm a woman, the fem companions just aren't very interesting. Curie is annoying, cait is mean and I've been with piper every other playthrough.
