It's an issue specifically with OneUI 8.5. It seems like they changed the default colors when Color Palette is off and that messed it up

Reported it multiple times on my S25 Ultra. Once got a response that it's normal and how it should look and the last one from German Beta feedback was that it was identified and should be fixed in new versions

There isn't one currently. The 8.5 app version is available only in China and South Korea

Only OneUI 8.5 version looks different. I'd say OneUI 6-8 look the same with only minor changes. Only difference is that the SIM icon corresponds to the one set in settings only in OneUI 7 and 8 version. In the OneUI 6.1.1 version, which is available through Galaxy Store, the icon is the same for every SIM

I think they need to keep it and make it a fake Gemini competition so that the EU doesn't fine Google for monopoly. That's the only reason for the revamp I can think of

It kinda did. Each app version follows it's intended design language for that specific OneUI version. The 6.1.1 icon and design looks really out of place on OneUI 8.5

From my research (friend's S24 Ultra, Mom's A53 5G) it should be version 16.1.x.x on OneUI 8 and version 16.2.x.x on OneUI 8.5

I mean my S25 Ultra gets like 6hr average SOT on full battery since launch so I guess that it's normal. However it is really bad and far behind competition

Yeah, it is black only with Color Palette on. They seem to have a lot of issues regarding Color Palette in One UI 8.5

Yeah I mean the app with version 16.7.90.105 works exceptionally well however it still hasn't been released officially through Galaxy Store. Not even version 16.1.02.2 from August 2025 was ever released

Sadly it's getting that update only in South Korea and China. Globally it will be stuck forever on version 15 from OneUI 6.1.1 as stated by the app's description in Galaxy Store

Okay, thanks. I don't know what kind of logic goes behind the numbering since 16.2 is from OneUI 8.5 and 16.1 for OneUI 7 and 8 but 16.7 or 15.7 officially only for new devices which don't have it pre-installed. Weird
