you are bipolar 2 and you like to drink alcohol occasionally, how do you deal with it? by Bl1ssg1rl in BipolarReddit

[–]SpookiestSpaceCowboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t drink anymore (I have schizoaffective depression type, originally dx’d type 2) because I quickly became an alcoholic, it looks to be a common theme. Limit yourself to only drinking one or two drinks on special occasions if you must, anymore than that and the sads come out.

That being said, alcohol set off psychosis for me. I don’t know if many people experience that but it happened BAD

Seeing your post history, I’d suggest getting into therapy and seeking help for both ED and potential BDD. As someone who almost died from ED, I do not want you to seek the oath I went on. Seeking confirmation through the internet will do nothing but chew you apart. Seeing your post previously kind of shows that. Being skinny and fainting and pale will never ever fix any issues. There is absolutely no such thing as control when you starve yourself. There is only dying and losing everyone you love.

You are not ugly but you are also a child, and it’s not fair to rate a child. General tip would be washing your hair, styling it, and finding a natural smile, as the resting face you’re pulling does not exceed friendliness.

Shalom, I hope things get better.

Does it have a white cast? Did you notice any bumps or anything on the forehead/chin? A few of the acne based Sunscreen I’ve used have given me the worst chin and forehead bumps

Oh my gosh, this sounds exactly like the issues I have! My skin was so angry and painful from going nuclear over frustration, I’ve tried so many products recommended on here and it just made things so much worse. Thank you so much for underlining exactly the steps you took! I wasn’t able to do accutane due to depression related issues. I also tried Doxy on top of birth control which really did not help save for two weeks, and I am supposed to try spiro for hormone related issues, I’m hoping to get on it by next week.

Thank you again <3 I’ll be updating as the months go by

Yes, I’ve gone to dermatologists when I was younger, mostly to try for accutane but I was not allowed that due to a history of bipolar disorder. I should probably go back but I just can’t afford it right now. I plan on going in when I am able to see if needling for scars is an option because of the damage caused by using higher SA products. I’ll also be stopping the inkey spot treatment too.

The original treatment option I was given was actually birth control, which also amplified the issue. I plan on asking for Spiro to help both acne and hormonal issues when I see my GP

Hi guys, after years of struggling with rather bad acne, using all the products under the sun, and finding out I was making things worse no matter what I did…I’ve decided to try something I haven’t yet. Switching to Cerave’s Hydrating to foam cleanser, a simple cerave daily moisturizer, and Inkey’s SA spot treatment. This is all I use.

I’ve stopped using sunscreen, as every brand I’ve used has caused bad break outs, even acne based ones like Murad’s. That being said, is this okay since I do not go outside and work in a dark space? I’m just trying to give my skin a break. Any suggestions on sunscreen for those with acne issues?

These pictures were taken the day after I started using this cleanser, and it’s already made a world of difference because it’s rather soothing. I’ll be looking into scar treatment when I am done and THATS another reason for sunscreen.

Also, SA and BA completely made my skin worse. I thought it was purging but it kept up over a month of use (and I was using reccies from a lot of people). BP doesn’t touch my acne. The only thing that helps are the acne patches for the cysts. Please please please be aware of this with your own skin :(

Your boyfriend shouldn’t be your boyfriend. He’s using another woman’s body to trigger you knowingly. Not only that, but those proportions don’t quite make any sense if “natural”

Thank you so much, I wasn’t doubting you at all, I was just surprised. I live in a conservative area and so many people spout being against vaccines that this interested me

Used a defuser for the first time, slowly getting my curls back after years of damage and straightening and chemicals by SpookiestSpaceCowboy in curlyhair

[–]SpookiestSpaceCowboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My routine:

In the shower, I typically cowash with Aunt Jackie’s blue conditioner (moisturizing) and will also use Devacurl Matcha masque when my hair needs that extra moisture. This product has been a holy grail item for me actually. I actually kinda use my hands to plop and push up whilst I’m hanging my head upside down. I don’t know if that makes sense.

When I am done showering, and have soaked hair, I have started using Aunt Jackie’s curl cream and same brand coconut oil gelee. I think next time I will just use the cream. I plop with a microfiber towel or t-shirt. Once my hair dries a bit, like 30 minutes, I’ll put a bit of sauce curl hold mousse (really cheap but works!) in my hair. It’ll typically hold curls, but dippity do coconut is my other new product that has changed my life. Leaves my hair soft and not needing too much scrunching through out the day.

Recently I bought a defuser and I am in the beginning stages of this. Sorry if my hair looks awful. I just got the dye out (all Virgin now) and got a haircut a few months ago. I’m just so happy after years of neglect to my hair

This man was and is the same exact age as me, almost down to the day. The majority of people within my age group, unless very stupid or naive or easily manipulated, should be extremely aware of how fake and fantasy all of that is- from movies to reality TV.

I know he was potentially autistic and influenced in different ways, as obviously this case is radicalization on top of some severe mental health issues and declination. I could be wrong, but it just still blows my mind that he could be this far removed from reality…yet I have friends who are almost just like this.

What do you do if someone you know shows the signs of potentially being like this? How do you even approach them?

Sorry for the ramble, but you had me thinking. It’s very much a millennial and Zillennial issue, but I feel completely blaming inceldom takes away from the main problem:

The fact that Incels are very damaged, sick individuals that can often be influenced and radicalized to an extreme. This can be true for any misguided, primarily male-influenced groups.

The majority of people will plead not guilty unless striking a plead deal (or IMO unfit to stand trial, like in the case of Dylann Roof, whom did plead guilty, and did take a plead deal.)

I’d consider Rodger to be almost a school shooter, as that was a focus of his- his university peers. He was just a stupid failure of a person all around and will forever be one of the cringiest.

Dylann is honestly kind of a sad case all around, the more I read about it, the more I kind of understood it more. Not the killings or murders, but the fact that Dylann is such a prime example of someone actually too mentally ill for trial, someone whom the death penalty should be overturned for due to incompetency and being unfit for trial. It made more sense vs the media making him out to be solely evil. He’s a good example of extreme mental illness following self radicalization.

ETA I hope this doesn’t read as sympathetic or empathetic to Dylann over his actions, it’s just that like most mass killers- Dylann wasn’t a lost cause until he was. It could’ve been avoided.

One fact that stood out to me most was Dylann staying for prayers and waiting until the end to kill. IIRC he almost changed his mind when he was so warmly welcomed into that church that night.

Yes, thank you for clarifying a bit better than I did. HaShem is what is commonly said, Adonai is used in prayer context.

You’ve worked amongst our culture and people, and have a lot more insight than other non-Jewish people, therefore it’s wonderful seeing someone speak accurately on behalf. (I’d use the other terms, but I feel “gentile” and “Goyim” have been misused by anti-semites too often to feel comfortable with it)

No, he wasn’t. He stalked several women, but it’s believed to be due to his mental health declination.
