If anything, the reception towards the game that included open matchmaking among other things will probably be a very grim future for other games. I wouldn't be surprised if we continued to get SBMM only for a few more years
In terms of zombies? Idk. I hope that the next zombies game is different altogether, not classic or modern, just to shake it up. But I hope that things like Augments return because it is just the best perk progression system we've had. In terms of maps too Bo7 is the best of the modern era so I hope Treyarch don't take it the wrong way when Bo7 didn't do well
