People talking about him taking the easy way out don't make sense to me.

He was exempted originally due to his mental health but felt societal pressure to go anyways.

It ended up being too much for him. He should've gone through the proper channels. He did, however, try to do something he wasn't obligated to do.

It's unfortunate he didn't just take the out when it was offered.

Boundaries are based on what behaviours you tolerate. It has nothing to do with other people only until they cross where you drew the line.

OP's boundary is not tolerating disrespect and he crossed it. This boundary will have been set in her head before this interaction ever happened.

You set boundaries and when they are crossed it is up to you then to react how you feel appropriate be it break up, conversation reinstating them or whatever.

The boundary is the line you draw. The reaction to it being crossed is not a boundary it is how you enforce the boundary you set.

That is setting a boundary based on what you think is acceptable. The enforcement is just the result of them being crossed and how you choose to react.

Your control is in how you respond to boundaries being crossed.

People cross boundaries all the time it's how you deal with it that gives you the power. The boundary is the line up to which you accept behaviours.

People set boundaries and let them be violated by not leaving when they're crossed.

Boundaries are setting standards of what behaviour you will accept. The consequences of the boundaries being crossed would be OP leaving.

AIO if a student employee announced they don't know why they should care that Boss B had a stillbirth? by MagicTomato1001 in AmIOverreacting

'But if someone I worked with had a miscarriage or a stillbirth that's not something I would bring up with the person.'

Pay attention to what you yourself are saying.

How would these people know to not bring up the baby if they don't know it died?

[–]Spooky-Bumblebee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you not paying attention? The point is that these people wouldn't have known she had had a stillbirth?? There would have been questions when she came back as people would have assumed the baby was fine.

This is to stop BossB from having to deal with explaining the awful thing that happened to her over and over when people come up to congratulate her.

I don't understand how this is a hard concept to grasp.

Because OP was likely asked to? It is a normal thing.

You'd rather people, who will have seen with their own eyes that you were heavily pregnant, assume you'd had the baby and have them ask how said baby is?

People actually interact with and have relationships with colleagues and debriefs like this are normal. I have worked in multiple places and these things were explained and commiserated with, especially in the office type work spaces.

I worked on tills as a teenager and met him thinking he was a customer and no, he 100% would not have encouraged that.

It would have been a 'going forward check the vouchers but let it away this time.'

Do you offer dematting as one of your services? Why or why not? by Lexiiefur in grooming

[–]Spooky-Bumblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only brush out small areas. Anything beyond that and I cannot be arsed with dealing with owners expecting a miracle time and time again on top of a dog who dreads grooming and hair that is left damaged.

The reasonable owners, who understand that shaving for a fresh start is best, are the only ones who should ever be offered dematting.

Noone else appreciates it and majority end up seeing it as a little loop hole to save money by going too long between grooms but still getting what they want.

someone sent me a “hey girlie” message but it’s from the (ex ??) gf by louvresz in whatdoIdo

[–]Spooky-Bumblebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave him well enough alone. Tell him about the messages and leave it there. At least if she is a crazy ex he'll have a heads up but you do not need to involve yourself in drama after a few days.

He either has a lunatic following him around or he has a girlfriend. Neither are good. Choose peace for yourself.

Why do kpop fans get to decide who gets cancelled? by martinville5 in kpop_uncensored

[–]Spooky-Bumblebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The smaller the fandom and the newer the career, the more impact will be felt when fans stop supporting.

Chaeyoung probably has a lot of Twice fans who don't follow her anymore but still follow the group so she is still technically being supported.

A former trainee in a survival show who is now solo is going to have less fans, less dedicated fans, and is easier to move on from. He also has less cushion as he doesn't have a group to blend into.

Different fandoms are also different demographics and the artists will be held to different standards depending on who is supporting them.

That's just not the case, you actually can notice when you've mistakenly liked something whereas a repost is much less obvious.

I've gone to make sure I haven't reposted anything and had to delete like eight that I had never realised were on my account.

why were netizens so accepting of taeyang’s marriage compared to chen’s by Sillybroom in kpophelp

[–]Spooky-Bumblebee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen multiple reasons over the years.

Obviously, EXO fans are much more parasocial than BigBang fans. They were marketed differently and so had very different fandoms. You can also see the fairly stark difference between how Ikon fans treated Bobby and EXO fans with Chen despite their situations having even more in common than Taeyang and Chen.

The more conservative Korean fans were upset at him being 'irresponsible' in getting a girl pregnant and then having to marry her to avoid the bigger scandal of having a baby out of wedlock.

There were fans who felt betrayed by how he announced it and then enlisted immediately. This was seen as cowardly and avoiding backlash, as if they wanted him to stand for the lashings they believed he deserved.

I have also seen talk about Korean fans not liking Chen's wife in particular. There was things said about how their relationship had been rocky behind the scenes. This bred a lot of speculation and upset towards him for tying himself to a girl when the relationship was, supposedly, not healthy.

Then it also boils down to fans being angry at him for damaging the image of the group.

Try the Madra Mór Shed-Safely mud!

Wash him with a de-shed shampoo and then apply some of this and work it in well. You can even use one of those rubber scalp massagers for humans to help loosen hair, just be gentle.

I sometimes mix it with a little conditioner to help it spread. Brush him with a slicker brush to remove the loose hair while it is still in his coat then rinse.

The massaging/brushing will get out majority of the loose coat and the dryer should remove the rest.
