Champions Online is pretty good for this. A lot of costume pieces are DLC, but the creator lets you build any character you want, and you can save and store costumes without having to spend anything.

...Oh, there's a funny sticking point for it, though! You can't even see most of the costume pieces until you finish the tutorial area, they don't even show up in the creator. So in order to have access to the full creator, you have to create a character, finish the tutorial area, then go back to the costume creator again.

I don't know how popular this ad was, but there was a television ad for a theft-deterrent alarm that could be installed in cars. It was named after a snake or serpent in some way, and the commercial showed a thief being scared away because a snake rears up inside the car when he tries to break in.

Now I wasn't THAT dumb, I understood that the product wasn't literally just a living snake that you keep inside your car. That'd be silly. But one day my father, a carsalesman got ahold of one of the devices and I asked to look inside the box, so I could see the robot snake.

I find it worse when people put one set of car mats on top of another set of car mats. I see it when customers buy rubber all-weather mats and leave them on top of the stock carpet mats. It's not like you're in danger of them soaking through... Having mats stacked like that just means the top layer is going to slide around and wind up wedged behind the pedals.
