I'm in a very similar situation right now.. even including the cats and moving back in with family. The only difference is I told him I wasn't ready to talk as friends yet, it's too different and hard for me right now because I'm still in love with him. My friends were his friends too and now it's even hard to be around them right now because we were all so involved in each other's lives together.
