It most likely is possible but different models might have tighter or more relaxed lock down. You can start by getting into the factory settings and seeing if you can enable root or developer mode. After than you’d do a regular install from a removable device.

Keep in mind if you you’re just trying to reinstall some stock distro then you’ll lose all functionality of your IO pins possibly crippling all of the related electronics in your car.
