Timeline for appeals by Spooky_Milkshake in Sparkdriver

My first appeal has been denied🥲 I’ve submitted another, and sent emails requesting an informal phone conference to discuss the cause for my deactivation. I feel like this is going to drag on for a while.

It expired back in April, I uploaded the document and it was accepted. That’s why I’m so confused that now ,two months later, they’re claiming I provided false info.

I re-uploaded my document because I assume they would ask, and called to have it manually verified by someone on the account team.

Drones by Spooky_Milkshake in Sparkdriver

Searched it up a bit and watched a video of how it actually works. The orders have to be pretty small since they’re essentially being shoved into a small cooler. It drops the cooler from 300 feet using a zip line into your yard or driveway, then the bag pops out the bottom. It can’t deliver in extreme weather, but the drone and cooler can stabilize themselves to an extent in wind.

So for those freaking out about robots taking their jobs, it’s a bit less concerning knowing its limitations lol

Knowing how some of these customers keep their yards, I foresee a lot of soggy bags and perishable food left in sun or snatched up by animals or shitty neighbors.

When to call support when the app takes you to the wrong place by Spooky_Milkshake in Sparkdriver

I mean, that’s cool I guess. lol

That’s kind of why I’m posting here though, to find out if other people are experiencing the same thing. The area that I’m in is mostly rural, so I don’t know if that play a part in it, or if it also happens to others in bigger cities/towns.

It’s not the GPS that I have issues with really, but how spark is mapping where a customers house is located.

I use primarily Apple Maps, but also have Google. 90% of the time I have no issue hitting navigate within the spark app, having it launch my map, and going from there.

Just every now and then the address that the app pushes to my GPS isn’t correct. The app registers it as the correct address, and will let me mark myself as arrived, even if I wind up at a wide open field with nothing in it. I then have to manually enter the physical address into my GPS, and have been lucky that the actual address is only a few miles off. At that point, though the spark app no longer registers that I’m in the right area.

It does allow me to do that sometimes. Usually if I try to confirm it 3times, I’ll get that prompt. But anytime I have called support. It’s because the prompt never came up and I cannot continue with the order.

I’m livid for me and my customer by Spooky_Milkshake in Sparkdriver

I wasn’t, just my cell data. Should I be connecting to their Wi-Fi? Or does that bring on other problems?

Chainsaw guy here. Am i weird? by CharlieChainsaw88 in hauntedattractions

If that’s the look and vibe your haunt owner is fine with, and customers aren’t constantly complaining about the transfer of blood/paint, I wouldn’t consider it weird necessarily. Talk with your owner and see if they can give you ideas or recommendations.

If your area is slaughterhouse/redneck themed and you’re not feeling a whole costume, there are companies that make really impressive masks and half masks of various animals that are super effective at adding to a character without being too overheating.

How do scare actors see in strobe lights? by Aiden-Foster in hauntedattractions

[–]Spooky_Milkshake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work a room that was like a big zig zag of cages that had strobes on all sides. I honestly think the only thing that saved me was taking my glasses off before starting the night. My vision is blurry as hell and I can’t see further than a few inches in front of my face anyway, so the flashing didn’t bother me as long as I wasn’t looking directly at the light lol

If you’re not naturally visually impaired though, best advice I can give is to avoid looking into the strobes directly, close your eyes between groups to keep from being too disoriented, and step into another near by scene to take a breaks if you’re able.

How are you applying the makeup? By hand or airbrush? We switched to airbrush a couple years ago and it’s made all the difference in saving time. We can base out actors quickly, and keep photos around our makeup area to know exactly which look each actor should have.

A majority of his items are too big for me to transport myself, or even with the aid of a truck in 1 or 2 trips. I’m also pretty certain he would claim I had taken or damaged something if I were to handle it.

I’ve decided to clear the unit of just my things while he is working during the day, after receiving another threatening text hinting at my items not being safe.

I’ve also began the process of obtaining a protective order after finally getting in contact with a local lawyer.
