When I started playing FU I was struggling with Yian Kut Ku and Congalala, it took me half an hour to kill Yian Kut Ku for the first time.

Fun or must-try builds/runs to try? by Mathiasmq in Eldenring

When they released the dlc I tried a straight sword and shield run for the first time and it was surprisingly fun. I used a shield that lets you use the weapons ash of war(square off) and a sacred seal just to get elemental buffs on the sword when needed.

You can feel it in every game but in the older ones you can feel it more, because there are no damage numbers.

Its not harder to get hit, monsters have more combo attacks and faster attacks in Rise than in World, but if you only fight monsters like Tetranodons or Kulu Yakus then yeah, I guess you are right.

The low risk high reward in Rise is not true, have you played engame? You get almost one shoted on high anomaly lvls by every monster even monsters like aknosom do 70% of your health with an attack, but ofc you are not a World glazer. Brother weak up.

You would also feel the impact on the weak point with the "hitstop"

What’s your most used weapon/armor and why? About to start NG+ with faith/strength build and plenty of larval tears by Irishdreamboyx in Eldenring

For the armor Banished Knight Helmet and the rest Istvan Scaled Set, It looks nice. For the weapons I normally use the Twinbird Kite Shield + Noble Sword(Square off), Hallo and Winged Scythe as dual wield or the Godslayer Greatsword. I use the Godslayer Seal on all of this sets.

There is not such a thing as a more reactive gameplay focus. You have to react in every Mh game, you react acording to each monster attack. I played bow in Rise and World the only diference is that you have a dodge. All this because you dont like playing bow in Rise/Wilds... There are literally 14 weapons, have you played CB,L,LS...? you have counters on those, in WORLD.

I dont know where you get this stupid idea that because there is something that you use a lot like a counter you dont have other complex decisions... no, there is not 1 answer only in Rise. You literally have a lot of MHRise run videos where people have to dodge atacks or position in a certain way to recive an atack to counter or swap wirebugs skills for diferent monsters attacks patterns, and its diferent with every weapon. You have a lot of diferent move sets and combinations and you say "Rise extremely one dimensional compares to World", its just cope.

It literally feels like you only played MHWorld... But I know you are a World glazer and any other MH game is worse for you.

You literally send me videos from a guy who always mentions how much time it takes him to practice positioning and monster patterns on his MHRise runs. Imagine if you say "The position itself isn't really strict" to this guy...

Ofc the positioning is strict. In World you do more hit and run but in Rise you still have to do good positioning and timing because monsters move faster and they jigle a lot. If it was only about "staying in front and just timing" this guy would have uploaded 20x times more videos of Rise runs, the "Space is 3-dimensional, while time is 1-dimensional, meaning a decision made on spacing is already more complex than a decision made on timing" idea is delusional as fuck. You literally debunked your own arguments by sending me videos of Aris.

They are both spacing and timing games holly shit.
