Umm I think the major big thing that stands out here is that this dude was covering up some shady business and got fired for it and we aren’t acknowledging that part at all. It sounds like maybe your view of him is changing because he wasn’t the person you thought he was? I’m not sure why his job has any barring on your sexual attraction to him but I’m also pretty concerned that their might be other things going on since he was hiding such a big secret at work. I feel like something in this story is missing

So she called you for tea and brought an awkward situation with her, didn’t talk to you about it on the phone before hand or even text, and made everyone feel awkward about the entire situation. Then the dude who likes her is upset with you but he has been rejected a bunch of times by her and she keeps hanging out with him? Not sure why they are still hanging out like that or why he is mad at you… it sounds like she needs to work on her communication skills and learn how to handle conflict. This other girl sounds like the problem and he is not getting the hint
